I'll be rounding up my year with the Allegiant A319, USAF VC-25, and FedEx 767-300F. Looking forward to the new year!

..On the FB page it says the GJAAY1347 ALLEGIANT MD-83 is on the 'older mold'. Does this mean it is NOT the same as the recently released AA MD83?

Or said another way, is this the same mold as the previously released Allegiant MD82?

Yes it is the same mould as the previously released Allegiant. They also noted it will be the last time they use that mould.

Glad to see the FedEx. Hopefully a UPS 767 w/ winglets isn't too far off.

Good to know, I will likely order it then. I have the older MD82 (actually an MD88 if you look up the reg#) release and I want to keep them consistent.

That'll prob be it for me, I'm going to catch up on some older GJ releases.

Another massively disappointing and tedious set of releases for the collectorate. It is a sad day when even the European majors and an aircraft/scheme combo older than 5 years is considerred exotic by one of the major manufacturers.

And don't get me started about the misuse of the new MD80 mould which is going to pan out over the next months. Sigh...

WOW, WHAT A SURPRISE - ANOTHER DELTA RELEASE!
Seriously, thank you GJ as I can now afford to spend all my money on Aeroclassics this month!

Is the DAL MD-90 a different reg # than the first release?

Watching white paint dry is more exciting than this month's release.

I don't think FedEx took any of their 767s with winglets. UPS recently began treating their 767 fleet to winglets, though- that's what I'm hoping to see released by GJ soon. They're nice planes, but they're even nicer with winglets.

indeed.
I hope to see MD-80 in Continental livery but now that Gemini has ceased producing for the "collectorate" I am sure we will unlikely to see old liveries like Continental or Delta Widget.

I have a question... why does the USAF 747 cost more than the Korean AF 747? Does the USAF charge more for licensing?

Probably due to the fact that it's a one-off mould. They would have had to create new moulds for the wings and horizontal stabilizers and add the bump on the nose. The Korean AF 747 is just a standard 747-400.

Korean goods are always cheaper than US...

FedEx did not order their B763s with Winglets because they are only flying domestically. This month I will go for the 1/400 Allegiant, AF1 and FedEx B763.

That's a good point. I forgot that AF1 had those additional parts.

I just preordered the Allegiant MD-83 and A319. Spent almost $400 in the last two days on models. Ouch.
