Default How about a Delta DC-9-51?

Now that GJ has done the Delta MD90 and 717 and they've introduced the MD80 mould, it would be great to see the DC-9-51 to complete the set of Douglas twinjets in the current scheme. I'm sure the GJ MD88 will be released in no time.

Gemini's previous DC-9 mould isn't the best and I don't think they've ever done a series 51. Aeroclassics DC-9s are superb and their series 51 excellent though. Seems however that AC have stopped making nines recently.

As my username suggests, this is a model I have been wanting for a long time. Another idea would be to have a twin pack with the Delta and Northwest DC-9-51 together. That would be incredible!

I know so much (don't know a lot) but I am surprised to know DC-9 is still flying?! Seeing it in new Delta scheme or any 2010s colors is very surprising. Is the plane really immortal?

Forget that! We need a Delta DC-9-50 AND a TRIPLE pack Northwest DC-9-30, -40, and -50 in the final Northwest colors!

MD really knew how to build 'em The last of Delta's DC-9-50s will be retired in the first week of January 2014, so not much time left.

I would like to see an aircraft followed through it's history. NC > RC > NW > DL. Kinda like Aeroclassics does with some releases.

Had a chance to fly the -51 in Delta new colors a couple years back ATL - MLB. Got on N767NC then had to promptly get off because of a fuel leak, but then one a couple weeks older N766NC came to the rescue at the gate next door.

Could've flown on another with NW a couple years before that, but we missed our connection in MEM and had to spend the night listening to FedEx planes come and go. I say listening because it was so humid the windows in the hotel room fogged up and I couldn't see a thing. The next morning though I was rewarded by getting to fly on a -41. N753NW was older than me!

Immortal? I don't know. But rugged and well-built? Definitely.

I should've said Aeroclassics. I know Gemini wouldn't do it.

Klein has the mould unless there is a "Ceast and Desist" order, he doesn't care about licensing. Why not? A BWIA DC-9-51 would be cool as well......

Does he still have access to the DC-9 molds? I thought there was something said a while back about how AC wouldn't be doing any more DC-9s. Not sure what the actual case may be, but those DC-9s were some of the absolute best models in 1:400. Just wish we could have seen some more U.S. liveries, like USAir 1990s, Northwest final colors, a Delta -50, etc.

Back before Delta announced a retirement year for these ex-NWA birds, or even before the merger, the joke used to be that when the last NWA 787 is parked, the crew will fly home on a NWA DC-9.

I'd DEFINITELY pick one of these up, along with a -30, -40, and -50 in NW final colors.

And.... how about a TWA -30 to go with the -40 and -50 that AC already did?

I would love to see N787NC in the final NW scheme too.. The DC-9-51 is such a great aircraft and one of the few DC-9 I had the pleasure to fly with..
