On the engines the logo of Qantas is in a different area. On one engine it is near the silver bit (Towards the back) and on another it is in the middle. Is this normal or is it a error?

G'day,

First of all, your airport is looking awesome The next move might be to get a sheet of Masonite or ply-board and mount/stick on your airport foils the the board. You could always store it behind your desk or wardrobe and place it on the desk or floor when you want to show off your models or take photos.

With the Qantas model of VH-OJO Wallabies, the model reflects how the 1:1 plane is liveried. If you ever want to check on any plane in your collection a good site is Airliners.net | Airplanes - Aviation - Aircraft- Aircraft Photos & News

Qantas 747-438 VH-OJO:

Is masonite a massive strip of double sided sticky tape?

Check this out:

Masonite - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's often used as a base for model railways. It's light, thin yet strong and has both a shiny and rough sides. Cheap to buy too.

Why will you need to print out all the foils again? Are the current ones stuck to your floor? I was thinking that if your foils were stuck down onto something light and easy to move around, that it would be an advantage to you. Because you could stick your foils down onto the board and not have it lifting up along the edges.

You could even use post-it notes glue, which would allow you to stick down and also give you the ability to pull up the foils and re-arrange them till you found something you'd like, airport wise.

Post-it glue is available in roll-out cartridge style packs at stationary stores.

It's right - the front cowling ring is the cool end and the other is the hot end and there are different metals used to cope with the heat.
You must have seen this and noticed it on real aircraft before surely. Do a search on airliners.net and you will see it clearly.
As for the foils, do what MML says and transfer them to a piece of hard board. I've used MDF which is 6mm thick. You can do the google search on MDF but it is very useful and paints up nicely.

Yes they are stuck down. Post-it glue? Wouldn't the foils just fall of?

I'm adding a expansion which will allow me to have 7 more widebody aircract (Or 14 narrowbody aircraft, but the stands are configured for widebodies), so it won't fit under my desk, and its much to large to fit under my wardrobe… it can fit under my bed, but I'm worried the bed might break and crush my models.

They are on MDF already. We got a big board of it and cut it to size. Which reminds me I need some more… ran out of it making a project for school.

That's a nice airplane buddy. It's a nice stablemate for the QF A380.

I was eyeballing the 'Spirit of the Australian Team' GJ release from a couple months back but I couldn't free up the $40.

OK that's a challenge! You're going to have to support them from underneath then create a brace that will hold them securely butted to each other. If you want the join to go, then use window putty smoothed into the seam.
