Can see the old GJ tail seam in that first shot on that 744. Still fits nicely into the collection.
That AC A321 nose gear looks way too small on that lower shot. The A330 behind it is a beauty.
Actually looking at the comparison shots they really do show the different spectrum of model makers and acft types....
Great shots.....

I agree. Their update was a perfect solution. The logo and stripes now have movement without throwing away a perfectly nice world recognized scheme.

Too bad other airlines don't understand that updating doesn't mean obliterating something that didn't need much fixing.

Air France' livery was and is in my opinion the most boring and ugliest paint-scheme if you have a look on the big airline companies in the world. Everytime I visit Tegel Airport here in Berlin you recognize the companies airliners as they're almost white and very dirty. For me it's not "classy", it's just unimaginative.

And this is the reason why I have no airliner in my collection except for a Concorde in Pepsi Colors.

Do you remenber Air France is the first airline to introduce the "all white" livery, late in the 70's, followed many years later by all other airlines!

Qantas changed up not long after. I consider them both forerunners of the Euro-White trend.
Qantas takes the lead though when it comes to the "Tail-dip' treatment....tail and tail cone in one solid color asymmetric block.

It looks like the last time they washed their planes was back in the 70's too.

Now that America features red-neck reality shows during prone time, AIRFRANCE will be relegated to A'FR-

If you compare Lufthansa's livery with Air France's you'll come to the result that you have a scarlet macaw on the one hand and stork on the other hand. Even if most of the parts of an Lufthansa aircraft are also white the composition of other colors like blue, orange and grey makes the aircraft much more colorfull in my opinion. So while Lufthansa is white + x Air France is just white, not a good look in my eyes. However, Lufthansa's current colors are too 1990s-like in my eyes and they need a small update.

Beyond that, my absolute favorite airliner colors in my collection are those of South African Airlines (old), Cathay Pacific (old and new), KLM (new) and Swissair (old).

Edit: To be honest I think the main reason why Lufthansa has the biggest fleet in my collection are national sympathies.

AIR FRANCE delivery AC 737-300 looks tres belle along with her sisters in my line-up.

I must admit, though the conjoined and one stripe lighter current livery may present as "svelter", the "delivery" rendition somehow is more satisfying to the eye and the soul !

So, Ne Pas-so-Vive-la-difference ! :-)
