Lovely model and great pictures! Just wish Phoenix would also enlarge their 777 engines.

What specific quality control issues do you have with this release?

He might mean here lately, this example looks great imo. I've bought several Phoenix 777-300ER's lately both from fellow members here as well as on Ebay and have'nt had a single issue "knock on wood". Picked up GJ BA G-STBA 777-300er last week from a retailer, both horizontal stabilizers were off the model and flopping around the clamshell!

Beautiful model.
My entire B777-300 fleet is Phoenix - Absolutely nothing wrong with engines or anything else!

Many a time have I found the need to glue a piece here or there, but if there is no paint damage, or structural issues, not a point to quibble about. It is easier to attach a wing or stabilizer at perfect dihedral if necessary than not being able to attach a correctly shaped nose as in the case of the 744s.

On the B777, Phoenix deserves congratulations!

They certainly deserve congratulations, it is a great mould, but the engines for the 200ER and 300ER series should not have as much clearance to the ground as they do.

As far as quality control goes for Phoenix, I think it's more of a packaging + shipping/handling issue. IMO the 1/400 Phoenix boxes seem a lot thinner and less protective than the Gemini ones with the exception of the A380 boxes which include foam padding.

Well, there's nothing wrong with the mould, that's lovely, however the printing and liveries on many of phoenix's 777s are flawed because phoenix now joins the two halves of any livery in the middle of the fuselage (where the windows are), this means that they are often mis-aligned and not symmetrical

Agreed. On this example (and the AC 77W) the window line is too high and too far forward.

On a somewhat related vein, does anyone know if Garuda Indonesian have ever either taken delivery of, or, operated the 777-300 in the B744/MD-11 delivery colors scheme ala the DW model? Better yet have PHX ever made such a model?
The "new" colors PHX model looks beautiful, but for fleet "commonality" I need to confirm the above first.

GA received their first B77W somewhere last week I think... but they put up welcoming reception for the first B77W last night Indonesian Western Time.

And it is with the new livery and same registration as Phoenix new release.

Great pictures! The purple really does work well with the gold stream design!
