Definitely going to pick up a few of those AirTran 717s while they last! That Delta 777 is disappointing though, I feel like Gemini has released way too many of them.

Same here. I guess I just had my heart set on either AA or Aeroflot 777-300er. Maybe one of these for Aug?

Strange, there are supposed to be 4 releases. This clue has yet to be answered:

It has been delayed until next month. Factory issues.

You can blame this batch of releases on factory problems.

I'm so disappointed the AirTran 717 is NC... I was really hoping for OC (without Elton John!) since NC's already been done.

I just preordered my 717. That is such a cool sounding little airplane. I've never seen a real one but there are some good videos on YouTube.

I'm really going to miss the DC jets when they're all gone one day.

Hmmm.
Just the AirTran for me. Save up the money for Phoenix and Aeroclassics.

SO we're supposed to start looking forward to the next month? We'll see if it's worth the hype.

Only three 1/400 releases? Poor show Gemini! Nothing of interest there.

Question Re: Gemini Jets July Releases

Two corporates and a pander to the home market. Well done Gemini.

July is Team Pissant.

But August will be so much better, right?

This is what I was complaining about with last month's GJ release with the Hawaiian models. This issue has to do with variety and models that COLLETORS' want, not just corporate big-wigs.

So much for the mantra 'for collectors, by collectors'.

The "collecting" they're talking about is collecting cash.

Who's arguing against that? Can't you make money selling to collectors' like us as well?

based on the wishlists of obscure items on here, probably not.

look over the course of a year, not a month. much of the low-hanging fruit has already been done in 1:400.

Interesting note, compared to bizarre wishlist requests this month of releases is an excellent month indeed!

Attachment 84796On EZtoys home page, they are announcing 1/400 GJ Cebu Pacific A330 Special release. Due in September? Is this an exclusive for EZtoys from Gemini Jets?

How about you do one better and review the past 13 years. Are you going to tell me that if GJ did a TWA 767-200 or even a -300 with the twin-stripes that that would not sell well? How about any livery on any aircraft model from the 1980s'?

No, much of the 'low-hanging fruit' has not been done already.

If you're using that argument then Gemini better shut up shop now. There are plenty of good sellers that can be done still on existing moulds like the 757 and MD80.

Sure, there are some models yet to be done which will be widely popular, but within the possibilities of the existing moulds, that population will get smaller over time.

Gemini should be hoping for more and more livery changes actually - that'll refresh the list. The AA fleet builders will have to go out and buy a whole new set of models (ugly as they will be).

No I see other retailers with it listed also. Available in two weeks in most markets and with next months for N.America.

If that's your argument, then wouldn't make more business sense for GJ to produce and sell those models now while that population still exists?

Ha, that is too funny.

There are some exciting possibilities for next month, if one dares to speculate..

I check a.net every day, lots of new liveries and a/c in the last few months..
