Default Gemini Jets 1:400 Continental 737-800w/

I have the opportunity to purchase a Gemini 1:400 Continental 737-800 with winglets. I remember that this model was quite rare a like a year ago and I haven't seen many for sale since. Is this model still rare or have they diminished in value with the merger? I ask only because the plane would fit nicely in my collection but it it's still as common as the new United 737 I have no interest in acquiring it. All info if any is appreciated!

Recently they have sold on ebay for $23 to $39 with free shipping. I would suggest buying it if you like it and don't worry about a $10 +/- value.

If you're looking for a value or an asset, model collecting is the wrong place. Then you should call your financial consultant.. If you're looking for a replica of an airliner that fits into your collection, you should get this diecast and enjoy it.

All those: I only buy it if it has a value threads get on my nerves.. To me the people who want to earn money with their collections have not understood what this should be about, but that's just my 2 cents..

looking for a 1/400 CO 738W should be fairly easy. It doesn't look like the merger has caused this release to become scarce, but certainly not an abundance of them either...

Allow me to correct those who are under the impression that I am in this hobby for the money. I have a choice, a Continental 737 or a United 737. I asked if the Continental 737 was rare because I wanted to know if this was a good opportunity to purchase one. I already have two but it took me a while to track them down and I wanted to know if they were still hard to get. If it's as common as the United 737 then I would rather have the United and simply buy the Continental 737 later.

I'm not in this hobby for the money. If I wanted to make money in this hobby, I would have sold my collection a long time ago, it's probably worth double what I paid for it. But I choose to keep it because I enjoy aviation and collecting models. I asked if this model was rare for the purposes of determining if it was a good buy or not. Instead I get responses from people like you that accuse me of trying to turn a profit with my passion for aviation. Thanks for your input.

Get the Continental. Took a lot of searching, and waiting, to find mine under $50.

Thanks everyone for the info! I'll probably get the CO 737.

Yeah get the CO, I'm sure that there will be many more of the UA/CO post mergers made in the coming years.

I would imagine with the merger that demand for CO models would increase. Don't stress about some of the previous comments: I got what you meant in your initial post- go with which ever plane you prefer most, taste and personal preference are of course subjective. (Personally I would go for the CO myself- seems like a acceptable deal)
