If I collected A330's then I'd be happy as they look like a nice quartet but since I don't this is an uninspiring bunch for me. More Canadians and Chinese too!

Oh and that's an odd livery for an NLM F-27 isn't it? When did they ever wear that? I'd have thought the standard livery would have been far more sought after:

It's especially disappointing after the baiting of the April 1st list which shows Andrew does hear the displeasure of the collectorate but just doesn't care much.

I have just tried to order an Aeroflot retro A32O from ARD and they have
informed me that the entire batch has been re-called by the manufacturer.

Was really looking forward to having that one in my collection !

The Air Greenland, you know, the one that only a very small number of collectors will be interested in; I can't track one down anywhere. And it's like, what, barely 16 hours since this batch of releases was announced (officially). And with all the April Foolery, you would have thought that sales would have been slower because no one believed it was available!

Argh! COMPLETELY SOLD OUT!
Yeah! Air Greenland. Obscure. Limited Demand. Not popular.
COMPLETELY SOLD OUT!
The other manufacturers completely underestimated this demand. Thanks to Aeroclassics for stepping up, even though I didn't get one. Yet.

That said, love the Air Inter and Air Mauritius. Snatched up the Canadian North, Gulf Air, and Air Fiji. Barely got those in time too!

Nice set of releases!

I'm guessing the model in that picture is a sample and could have very well changed for the final production run.

Yes i agree with you, the only releases i've seen that have had their flaws fixed before release to public are from Hobby Master 1:72 military section.

NOT TRUE!!

AeroClassics has recalled many models over the years, and at great expense.

Nice releases. Of course I missed the Air Greenland and Fiji A330s, so I'll wait for PHX, but the Air Inter F-27 is a welcomed addition. While not into "retros", I like the Aeroflot A320 too.
So April fool's joke wasn't such a joke, after all. Does it mean we're going to see the rest of the list in the upcoming month ?...

That looks so so good.
Having been to FIJI on holidays, their new livery exudes their culture and would be one of the most applicable and representative of their country. Well done to the marketing design team.

Boooo!

Virgin fans has the Air Greenland for sale at $170.....
This release has to be one of the most sort after models in ages and already sold out whilst everyone stuffed around with April fools jokes.

I'll go with the PHX release and save myself the regular jumping thru hoops for a model plane.

No worries if you missed out on the fiji because phoenix have announced this one along with air mauritius but gemini and phoenix have long under estimated the Air Greenland demand for a long time, I wonder what there thoughts are on it now.

Their thoughts on it now are pretty much irrelevant. The AC Air Greenland release will have decimated any potential market, so if they weren't considering it before, a hundred or so AC releases being absorbed by the market will make them even less keen.
I don't understand why you keep banging on and on about it? You've got an AC release, be satisfied.

There are still some dealers whom have not even listed the new models yet, so why all the doom & gloom that they can't be found??

Do you have a list of dealers in Belgium?
Because your models are really hard to find over here...

100-200 models and you think the demand for air greenland a330 is over? I think you greatly under-estimate it.

Thsnk you to aeroclassics though for coming up with the goods.

Phoenix have announced air mauritius. Fiji and seychelles ty, do you think the arse has fallen out these models too. Because the demand for the air greenland beats these or at least match them, even if phoenix are producing the opposite reg# from ac

I find it hard to believe that Phoenix, with their factory's unrealistic MOQ, will be able to move the quantities they produce, even with the gimmicks of antennae, which companies like AC, will avoid getting into. Even the rolling wheels were a mistake!

I know for a fact that Adamjets & Just Plane Fun in the U.S. are NOT sold out Jeff, so steer folks that way.

As an FYI, there were just over 200pcs of the Air Greenland produced, so enough to fill demand, but not enough for any to gather dust on a dealer's shelf, or go to someone's bargain basement "blow-out sale"!

As an FYI, there were just over 200pcs of the Air Greenland produced, so enough to fill demand, but not enough for any to gather dust on a dealer's shelf, or go to someone's bargain basement "blow-out sale"!
Hardly a gimmick AK. The latest Scoot 772 with antenna looks awesome. Ok they are delicate but they really do set the standard for detail in models. Kudos to them for going the extra mile.
As for rubber wheels - again another nice addition and step closer to the 1:1 model. I'm pretty happy with the above two mods they have added.

As for the Air Greenland A330. You should know that your CX A330's are now fetching $200+ for your models. Thats great if the collector is in it for $$$ but for me thats crazy - I'm fortunate enough to have both - but if I wanted a third one for my fleet I'd need to re mortgage my house. I'm not doing that if I miss out on this one - so if PHX release it I can not go into panic/anxiety over a missed release and in that there is enough for everyone and its just a model plane at the end of the day.
Great job on your A330/340 mould - by far an amazing feat. If I miss out it will be a shame but thats the way it goes.....I've got the PHX Vietnam A330 and that rocks too!!
..so an Greenland from PHX will do just fine.

I know for a fact that Adamjets & Just Plane Fun in the U.S. are NOT sold out Jeff, so steer folks that way.

Back in the day i had alot of $200 models but nowadays when a re-release for extra $$$$$ can be just around the corner its not worth it anymore.

Wait till your antennas start to break over time and trying to get a replacement or glue them in place without it being very noticeable. Just as many collectors out there who are not fans of these than ones that are. I heard it was one person in particular who pressured Phoenix into this in a way to pretty much get them to stop. I did swing past one shop and two of the Phoenix models I looked at had them missing already!

The AeroClassics "samples" that Virginfans are offering for sale on Ebay are bogus?

Argh! COMPLETELY SOLD OUT!
Yeah! Air Greenland. Obscure. Limited Demand. Not popular.
COMPLETELY SOLD OUT!
The other manufacturers completely underestimated this demand.
Yes, sold out, but out of a run of how many? Last time I checked, Phoenix releases 600 models per run. I'll leave AK to confirm (or not) how many there are but it'll probably be less than half that number.

None of my antenna equipped Phoenix 1:400s have had broken antennas yet. I clean the models regularly with a feather duster. Just take good care of them and they'll stay on.

QFA388.....I'm glad that you were able to secure the Fiji A332. This month I can save some $USD because the Aeroclassic's releases weren't the most exciting. Air Inter is my favorite airline but I never saw or rode in their Fokker. It's to bad that the April Fool's
list was a 'Foolish' list.

Jeff, while you think they weren't the most exciting, this month actually drew back many older AC dealers to partake in the frenzy. This was one of the most exciting months in along time, and the all around enthusiasm show!!
