Default April Gemini Jet new model hints

From their Facebook page..

Dear GeminiJets fans, collectors and supporters,

Below are hints for a majority of our April new releases (a few models are also coming in April which don't have hints). A few of the models for April were ones suggested right here on our Facebook page by you. As you know we re-launched our social media presence just over a month ago and have been very pleased with the level of communication we have been able to achieve with all of you from this. While we can't release all of the suggestions we get (dozens a day) we hope it shows that we value each of your requests and comments. Everyone at GeminiJets is excited for what the future holds and we hope you are also. Remember to check on the page on Monday for our next Name the Plane trivia for a free model airplane and a chance to pick a model to be produced at the end of the year.

Regards,
James at GeminiJets

APRIL HINTS!

1/200 SCALE

1. Unlike the other aircraft in this airline’s fleet, this plane initially joined with a lack of a premium cabin. Due to this configuration, the twin engine long haul bird was primarily flown to various leisure type destinations.

2. After years of speculation this airplane order refueled the rumors of possible flights to see the humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa fish.

3. This noisy plane only flew to a few different cities while wearing these colors. While looking through the history of this operation you will notice it involves two other airlines. If you haven’t realized that “you’re fired.”

4. This airplane type could has worn five different mainline liveries throughout its career. If you count two previous airlines that operated the plane before joining this airline it would have been seven. If the airline keeps this airplane "up" it might see more in the future.

1/400

1. If you're looking for this French-Italian aircraft at their ANC hub you might not see it surrounded by large Boeings. You have to view the airport as an empire for it to be clear.

2. This plane not be flying like a full Tiger anymore but at least it promises you to have more fun when you land.

3. This plane is close to being retired from this airline. Its rare that an airline retires a plane and has to re-retire it a few years later. Don't feel too bad for it though, some former fleet exits get to enjoy the Hawaiian Sun. When the final one lands this airline will no longer operate each type of this family.

4. This airline has one of the most outspoken CEOs so it was no surprised when he raised his concerns over this airplane's delay. Perhaps he can kill the time waiting in his premium Business and First Class passenger terminal?

5. Möge die wirkliche Königin der Lüfte für viele weitere Jahrzehnte weiterleben.

6. Passengers on this plane might be confused why they get the sudden urge to have cream cheese and capers with their plane.

7. Although this airplane base model can carry many passengers far distances, the weight of the exotic animals limits the overall capacity.

8. This plane might have a change of scenery since this airline recently ordered a fleet of planes believed to be west coast hoppers.

No. 5 means something like: may the real queen of the skies live on for many decades... due to the fact it is written in german the conclusion might be an LH 747-8 Intercontinental...

Where is everybody getting the 1:400 Delta DC-9-50 from? Seems weird for GJ to come out with a -50 mold when they haven't touched their -30 in years. As much as I'd love to see a Delta DC-9-50, I don't think this is it.

Some of the former Continental/United 767-200ers were sold to Omni which are being used on Hawaii routes from Las Vegas.

I agree with this..

Nice call on #3.. I was hoping for a DC-9 myself, but this makes more sense.

I will be ordering the LH '47, and possibly a WestJet (if it's a -700).

Finally my styrene and balsa airport offers service to FRA.. The inner geek is especially delighted

I hope so! Personally I hope it's not D-ABYA. I have the PHX version and even if "Brandenburg" is not on that release, It does not bother me, as it test flew this way before being handed over to LH. Maybe D-ABYC or D-ABYF!

1 is an ATR42 or 72 of FedEx operated by Empire Airlines, who will also operate 'Ohana by Hawaiian's ATRs.

He he...unlike you I'd like to see D-ABYA with full colors and printings. However, this is just great to see another LH 748 to be released! Go on GJ...long live the 747!

I'm mainly happy that Gemini has a license worked out with LH again.

Then: I don't ask much, but I do ask this: D-ABYC, please.

@late400starter:

By saying "Möge die wirkliche Königin der Lüfte für viele weitere Jahrzehnte weiterleben." a 747-400 would be the wrong choice here. Lufthansas 747-400 won't stay in service "for many more decades" as "the real queen of the sky". But LH's 747-8I will. *crossing fingers for D-ABYA*

An interesting list given that:
1) Phoenix usually does LH (well, unofficially)...
2) Haven't we had a FedEx ATR already?
3) Phoenix has done a FedEx Panda at least once before.
4) A month without Gemini releasing a Delta?

That said, the United, Qatar, Lufthansa, and either Westjet idea would be sorely tempting.

"You're Fired" for a Trump shuttle would be way too obvious. I think it has something to do with the previous airlines comment.

Gemini will probably make whatever LH tells them to make. so I'm afraid it will be YA. But I haven't flown on YA; I've flown on YC. Bring us YC.

If these guesses are dead on (which they seem to be in my book) I'd take the FedEx ATR, the Alaska Salmon three salmon and the Westjet Q400! Holy wow this is looking to be a good month!

To fix Phoenix's stuff-up with the upper deck window configuration?

I'd welcome a GJ LH 747-8i, and although I'd prefer a different registration, I wouldn't mind if it is D-ABYA again because the Phoenix version has an incorrect window configuration, not to mention the lack of its name below the window line just aft of door 1.

Given that GJ and Phoenix share their 747-8F mould, it's possible that the 747-8i mould would be shared as well. I don't mind Phoenix's 747-8i moud, so I'd be happy to have another LH 747-8i made by GJ on the Phoenix mould, provided that they get all the details (name, window configuration etc) correct.

Then again, I'd be even happier if GJ make their own 747-8i mould that's better than Phoenix's. But I guess that remains to be seen. Hopefully pictures of the model will be out soon, if it is indeed confirmed as a GJ April release.
