If Gemini don't do the real 777W ASAP they may as well give up !

I think Gemini will release first, with another 1:400 777-300ER. My only rationale being that they will be eager to correct the model of N717AN that was erroneously released in (what pains me to say) the "old livery".

I think AC will NOT be first; what a bloody uninspiring and aweful scheme.

Doesn't matter who is first; I won't buy it.

It will be in this sequence:

1. JC will push out first and fast = questionable product that will be hammered on the forums (price = low)
2. Gemini 400 will come out later = much better than the JC, but still open to critics (price = mid range)
3. Phoenix 400 will produce the plane after Gemini 400 = will put antenaes on the model (price = upper end for the added antenanes)
4. 1/200 will be rolled out by either Gemini 200 or Inflight 200

I say Gemini, Phoenix and Aeroclassics don't seem to be interested in modern US carriers.

Really that long
I figured all they have to do is slap on some grey paint and whatever gear comes close to hand and call it done.

Odd statement, since AC was the first to release the post merger UAL A319 & A320 in 1/400 scale, and the 777 in 1/500 scale!

Klink,we could use some A319/20s in US Airways colors. Both current and dark blue schemes.

True and great releases, despite the fact that the IAE's are too large on the AC baby busses - the biggest flaw IMHO. As AA will get their first A319s in July this year, i hope that we see this combo on the AC mould - the best available in 1:400 then.. By the way the A320 moulds are the only AC offers from the current and future fleet, that's why i guess GJ will be the first (B77W and/or B738WL).. Unfortunately AC's UA Tulip B763 was the last release of this superior mould - i would love to see some more releases, but AC has been very quiet with B767, B747 or DC-9-51 releases in the past, but i don't want to turn this into a wish-list thread..

Does AeroClassics even have a mould that they could use to model the "new" american?

I think Gemini will waste no time in releasing the 737-800WL and 777-300ER in the new scheme in both 1:200 and 1:400. I will not be buying either, but I can assure you they will be done in the next 2 months.

Phoenix will release the 777 first. They always release things like this as soon as it comes out. I for one will be buying the 737-800. Beautiful livery!

When it's released, I know I won't buy one. Just like I swore I wouldn't buy a post UA/CO model, and I still haven't.

I agree with this, except for Phoenix. Phoenix doesn't do very many US carrier releases. I wish they did (as I sit here staring at 4 of my Phoenix JAL 773s).

I don't care because to start with I do not fly on any American carrier. The next is that this new livery will never make my cabinet.

I love it, and atleast one type in either 1/200 or 1/400 with this scheme will certainly make it into my collection!!

Its 2013 guys, and whilst the now old livery will be very much missed, you can't replace that scheme, so lets not look at it like that. Lets look at it in the hope that it represents a new more prosperous and positive chapter for the airline!!

If you still want the nostalgia of the now old livery, lets enjoy the photos, DVDs and fabulous models of this scheme. These plus the memories can never be taken away!!

I defiantly agree with you,
Gemini love doing North American airlines, Phoenix generally tends to focus on Asian and occasionally European carriers.
Either way it will be interesting to see who is the first- for me I think Gemini
