Default Best Mould for the B 747-8

Who's mould is better for the 747-8i and 747-8f, Dragon, Hogan or Phoenix? I don't have any of these giant jets but I am thinking of collecting them. Please let me know your opinion.

I'm loving the Phoenix models molds for 747-8i and F.

Here's a comparison of the Hogan and Phoenix versions:

I've got the Phoenix Sunrise one (ground version), its very good and has amazing details, the Antennas are a nice touch. I quite like the Dragon version too, however the colours don't look as vibrant compared to PHX.

Phoenix ... especially the on-ground version.

The only 1:400 scale mould with actual antennae to boot!

Phoenix. They're 'on ground' versions especially are works of art. Although I also really like the dramatic flex of the 'in air' alternatives. They really look like they're moving!

Great job on the comparison. Looks like Phoenix has the upper hand. Thanks for your thoughts.

One last thing is there any difference between the Phoenix "in flight" version and the "ground" one other then the metal stand?

the in air versions have the wings all flexed ... this is the position that the Hogan version (and I think Dragon Wings version) are in ... which is ok if you are displaying them on a stand ... but not on their wheels.

Hogan did get the Hong Kong Trader (Cathay Pacific Cargo) color correct ... Phoenix did not ... but Phoenix still has the better mould IMHO

Here another head to head comparison. You might want to look at both the links and figure out which one is the best.

Thanks everyone for the education. I thought I was just getting a extra metal stand but I see it's more then that. I am going to stick with the on ground version.
