Slowing down isn't bad at all. It gives you times to think/evaluate on what you like to get next, making your collection much more meaningful.
Thanks. Yeah, at first I thought it was nothing, yet i slowly liked it too.

Yeah, nothing too uncommon in Singapore, plus very exorbitant prices!

Thanks! But I don't want it to grow so quickly too...

Another package has just arrived yesterday. My 2nd PHX ANZ All Blacks, PHX Singapore Airlines B77W Star Alliance and PHX CX A333 OneWorld. At long last.

Once its started, it takes a long effort to slow down.

I've been quitting the collectors world for almost three years and I just picked up the collection again, you know the amount I have to catch up is enormous.

Luckily, now I only collect 773er from Phoenix.

But it's definitely thrilling.

Agreed. Love this addictive hobby but takes up too much money. I should have started collecting earlier though, would be able to get models at a cheaper (RR) price, rather than the exorbitant prices today for rare models. Though I did not save last time (I only saved during my army).

Yeah, Great 77W mould from PHX, been looking for a Air Canada 77W Olympics C-FIVS for a decent price without any leads.

I mean it's ok once you kept your pattern of collection, you see a lot of collector in the forum collect everything and that's really easy to ran out of the pattern and spend a lot of money that you aren't supposing to spend on.

Sometimes buying a model or not is just a few seconds thrill. This hobby needs a great discipline.

Speaking of which, I have bought the new batch of PH models today and picked up a few previously released 77W. Have to say PH's QC has gone way down. I was checking 10 boxes of 9V-SPQ and only found 1 that the front landing gear is in correct position. That's some really ****ty QC!

Seem to have missed this reply, sorry.

Yeah, a collection criteria is important..even though I have one, I still think it's a tad too much, might just reduce it further. Already restraining myself on many models... and I don't think I would ever pay too much for a model, unless it's so rare and something I very much desire.

Hmm, the recent arrivals for me from Phoenix all arrived in great condition.

Oh, they made the model of this particular reg in 2005, there wasn't any 'rolling wheels' at that time. And in recent years, they made the other 2 B77W with the same livery, but with rolling wheels.

I'm going to get a lot of flack for this but, I just LOVE the JAL Crane livery and the new 787 livery for JAL.

Haha, they livery looks good in light. Though I prefer ANA B787 livery to JAL.

Recently had some arrivals... will find some time to take some photos too.

New arrivals in the past 3-4 weeks or so.

SQ & CX arrivals up first.

Phoenix's B747-400 9V-SPQ. Having been on the last flight (SQ748), I had to get this (I don't like Jet X's landing gears).

A very hard to find (for a good price) GJ A343 in 50th anniversary colours...from a particular collection sale

Phoenix A343 9V-SJB. Got a exact registration made by Aeroclassics though.

Aeroclassics Cathay A333 B-HLG. Fastest fingers first...

Phoenix B777-300

GJ/Dreamjets B-HOY Asia's World City

PHX Virgin Australia A330-200

Other liveries...

PHX China Airlines A330-300 (the harder to find first version without rolling wheels)

Aeroclassics Vladivostok Avia A330-300

BB400 MASKargo B747-200F. Bought a friend but he already has it. Found a buyer already though.

Very few arrivals recently...but they are some hard to find ones. Just received these few models in the past 3 weeks.

-Herpa Cathay Pacific A340-300 (well at USD 10.99 i suppose I can make do without the Aeroclassics version)
-Phoenix Emirates A340-500

and the 2 stars of the show (some rare Aussie birds)...

-DW/FC Qantas B747-300 Nalanji Dreaming

This nearly completes what I want to collect for Qantas... which is all the aircraft with aboriginal art/painting + the old Melbourne F1 livery. I'm only lacking the Wunala II from Phoenix.

and last but not least... The ultra rare...

-Aeroclassics Australian Airlines A300!! This model has certainly grown on me, in addition to the great price (I think). Still looking for the ultra rare Air Niugini though.

Will take photos soon.

What kind of defective paint? I'm still pondering whether to get one!

Herpa 1/400 Singapore Airlines A340-500 (Leadership titles)
Gave up my search for this one! Got my hands on the DW version instead!

I think it came to my house this morning but I was in uni so didn't manage to receive it. Can't wait for tomorrow, hope to collect the Herpa SQ A345 + PHX Vladivostok Tu-154 (And safety cards of Air Maldives A300 and A310)! Sounds stupid...but I have both the PHX SQ A345s.

Haha! not silly at all. I do that for the SQ A330 as well - got all the 3 brands.

I know the feeling. Waiting for some WW2 warbirds to arrive too!

Been long since I've updated, but I've found many of my wanted models at nice prices.

Meanwhile, my holy grail of my SQ collection arrived this week... the DW B747-400 Tropical 9V-SPK exclusive for on-board sales! Here she is with the 3 other tropicals in the collection, including the Herpa 1/400 sample.

(From Left) Dragon Wings 9V-SPL, Herpa 1/400 9V-SPL SAMPLE, Dragon Wings 9V-SPK In-flight sales, Phoenix 9V-SPK.

Amongst the new arrivals recently,my most expensive model just arrived. The very rare and expensive Phoenix 1/400 Air Mauritius A330-200 3B-NBM, 100 made for a Swiss shop 5 years ago. There was one on ebay for quite some time (now gone), but decided to wait for a cheaper one... and here it is! Undoubtedly one of the prides of my collection. Just a sneak peak first(taken by phone, pardon the quality) before i use my dslr...
