Default BigBird BA B747-200 Landor

To my knowledge, BigBird is the only manufacturer who released a BA B742 in the Landor livery. If I'm wrong by all means let me know so I can start searching for alternate models. I'm looking for either BB4-2004-59 (G-BMGS) or BB4-2004-60 (G-BDXJ). I'm looking for one of these because I flew BA back in February 1989 MIA-LHR return and from the research I've done, BA was using the -200 variant during that time. Again, if I'm incorrect please tell me.

Anywho if you have one you'd be willing to part with, give me a shout. Thanks!

I have both Big Bird models if you are interested. But, there's some unpacking to do with the history of these aircraft.

The easy one is G-BDXJ. It was originally delivered to BA in 1980 and was operated by them for 22 years. Good chance you flew that one.

On the other hand, G-BMGS is complicated. It was originally delivered to SAS in 1971. BA acquired it from them in 1986 and immediately turned it over to British Airtours. The aircraft went back and forth between those two for a few years until in June of 1989, it went to Caledonian. In 1990, it went to Virgin. G-BMGS was a three window 747 until Virgin had it converted at some point to eight windows on each side of the hump. So, there's a very slight possibility that you flew G-BMGS while it was with BA in February 1989. Just don't know.

Please send me a pm if you want one or both.

In 2012 Inflight released two 1:400 Landor BA 747 classic variants also. B747-100 G-AWNE, and B747-200 G-BDXI which has the registration erroneously printed under the wing.

I see G-BDXJ listed on eBay now.

Because of the day and time it ended, I missed it! Then he relisted it and I bid a little over $130 only to be outbid at the last minute. So yeah, I'm still searching.
