Re: NEW RELEASE: 1:200 Hogan Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000S
A BIG surprise.
At last a business jet.
A Falcon 20 would have been very interesting too, imagine it with the Federal Express livery ...
Very nice addition.

Yeah . . . sweet!
UPDATE:
Well, I found out a bit more by running the Chinese page for this model [ HERE ]. NOTE: This will be going through the online translation service of Babelfish. If you get an error, do it again.
First -- this model IS made of metal. Second -- apparently release date is October 2011 -- now. Third -- price is ¥330.00 (whatever that translates to?) Fourth -- length is listed as 10.1 cms.
Some additional photos. Bigger versions are at the Chinese site.
Hope that is helpful!

Wow. I am impressed. The gear need a lot of shortening, but gotta get it! Can a 7X GJ-650 or Global 5000 be that far behind? Based on the Chinese Yuan Renminbi, price is expensive. $51.67 I think it's available now...I can't read Chinese to order it.

Didn't the link I provided work? It takes you to an English translation of the site through Yahoo's Babelfish. It is available now at WingsWorld, but I suspect it will be available closer to us very soon. I can't imagine Hogan would keep this to themselves.
Agreed. That landing gear is looking pretty tall, alright.

The description reads in English, however, the checkout remains in Chinese. No worries, I'll revisit. Thanks-

Ah, that is a problem. Babelfish will translate each page as you go if that is any help. I used it to purchase a model from a shop in France last year. Cumbersome, but it does work up to a point. Mind you, I know a bit of French, and zero Chinese.

OT: Request to Dylan: Could you please post some more "at altitude" and passenger cabin shots of this superb machine? Are there any plans to stretch and possibly convert the PC-12 into a twin turbo prop or light twin. Btw: The somewhat smaller Ted Smith AeroStar has just been converted to the Williams series jet engines. Perhaps Pilatus will go the same route?
Thanks,
Herb

Re: NEW RELEASE: 1:200 Hogan Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000S
I received this model and it is great besides the landing gear. Too high for the real version.
This is one of the first private jets ever produced for the die cast market, and I honestly wonder why? There are so many planes to be produced. Cessna Citations, Gulfstreams and other Falcons.. Is a license issue or just lack or a market?

Seconded the gear, but does look very nice!

Re: NEW RELEASE: 1:200 Hogan Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000S
For a "Super-Midsize" execu-sled; the cabin is really large and luxurious. More of a Gulfstream 450 sized airplane inside. The new winglets make this somewhat plain "plane" much more interesting. (Kind of the same visual effect winglets have on the 767-300's).

Re: NEW RELEASE: 1:200 Hogan Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000S
note: looking at photos of the aircraft in flight and on the ground reveal why Hogan made the gear so long. In flight, the gear is not compressed and looks quite a bit like the model. Once on the ground, the struts compress with a lot of travel. Check the gear doors on the mains in flight and on the tarmac. A huge difference. Answer I guess is to keep it on the stand to have an accurate model, or get busy on the work bench to shorten it for the sitting on a shelf.
Re: NEW RELEASE: 1:200 Hogan Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000S
Yeah, I agree Sgt. I was kind of wondering where they found reference when making the gear mould. The in-flight photo kind of bears this out. The photo plus not checking multiple sources kind of made the gear a mess.

I got one myself and it's good to have some small biz jets on the diorama tarmac!

Re: NEW RELEASE: 1:200 Hogan Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000S
Well they did manage to land the C-130 on carriers, i wonder if this one has a slow enough landing speed and stopping distance to actually land on a carrier. Next up, Harrier/F-35 styled private jets to land on the millionaire's yachts!
This little baby landed at my doorstep today. From the gear up its really great. Super crisp edges. The winglets will cut you! Beautiful antennas and printing. This is a beauty and has to be seen to be appreciated. The gear, however, does bite it. A bit stilt-ish on the ground....but as mentioned more correct when on the stand with the struts sprung.
Enjoy! I sure am.
Hogan is on the right track going into the bizjet collectors psyche. I look forward to seeing what's next.
ps. pics are of varying sizes due to cropping. oh well.

Re: NEW RELEASE: 1:200 Hogan Dassault Aviation Falcon 2000S
Hello All,
Had a few spare moments this weekend to shoot this comp photo. I wanted to see how the "Super Mid-Size" Falcon stacks up against the smaller express size airplanes, along with the Boeings latest giants. (The Airbus pics will be next).
The question of whether or not we will see more bizjets got me wondering if the size of corporate airplanes would be too small to make in 1:200. The Falcon looks to work quite well in this scale. Larger a/c like the 7x, Grumman, Cessna Ten, Beechcraft King Air, 99, etc look to be prime candidates for more of this new category of die-cast.

And here when I saw '1:200 Hogan new release' on the forum page I got all excited thinking something new is out only to see this old thread bumped up. Damn.
