Currently I have 38. I want to have a model 1 / 200 of each passenger aircraft post-war (since DC-3). There will be almost 100 models.

Hi all,

Keep the replies coming but count only your 1/200 diecast/plastic models and not kit built or kits in boxes. DP

I've stopped counting, but it's somewhere between 150 and 200. I'm much more picky now and only buy what I really have an interest in (flew on it, saw them growing up, etc...). If I could get around to it I'd probably sell about 50-60 of them. In my early years in this hobby I bought stuff that I really did not need, but could not resist. First releases of aircraft types, liveries that I thought were cool, etc... Now that I've realized space is at a premium with 1/200 display areas, I need to downsize.

Wink Re: How many 1/200 models do you currently have?

Since I started collecting 1:200 in July 2010, about 15-20 . . . something like that . . . with only about 4-8 on display at any given time. The vast majority are diecast from the likes of Gemini, Hogan, Herpa, and JC Wings. Due to a minimum of rotational storage, I doubt I'll ever have any more than around 25-30 at any given time, which is fine by me.

I used to have 12, but I recently gave them to my youngest brother, all but my 4 Egyptair models that is. It's been a brief 'excursion' into another scale for me, but in future I shall stick to my beloved 1/100 and larger models. Addicted to them I guess.

Started Feb 2011. Have 47 as of right now. Between 5 and 8 models still have to come in. I expect 2 or 3 to never be in stock at the place I ordered. So will prob have to cancel the orders if it takes too long. Oh and also am having 2 custom models made....so yeah quite a few.....what a waste of money :P

The only collector who prob has more :200's than you is Crownvic. But, still, Die "Cast" Phan...you do have a very impressive collection...and the display is simply beautiful. You should repost the photos!

Hi Todd,

I beg to differ on your assesment there brother. Already there are collectors having models in the mid hundreds. You are right I should repost my collection pictures as time goes by. Last night looking at my display cases and the photos I post on DAC a few months back, I was suprised of how much stuff already has grown in there. I just put in an order from Skys the Limit for 10 more so now my tally is at 163. BTW, I am a proud owner of another full size suit of armor! Yeah! DP (AKA die cast phan). Thanks a bunch to Todd for the name my parents would have never thought of.
