Default Paint crack on Union Jack BA 747!

A couple of weeks ago I bought an InFlight 200 BA 747 with the Union Jack paint scheme and now I have noted paint crack (3 lines) at the bottom rear.

I thought that the paint crack was specific to the Landor paint scheme.

Should I mail InFlight or Airlinemuesum.com (from where I bought the model) about this? Should I expect something back from them?

It's a common problem with IF200 BA 744s if you do a search, you will see others have had the same problems, yet I had never heard until now about cracking on the union jack one ?

Yeah, I know about the problem with the Landor paint scheme, but I didnt think the union jack one had the same problem.

Is there anything I can do? Should I mail inflight about this?

First time I had heard of the u ion jack with paint issues. But I, not surprised. For a pricey model this issue is totally unacceptable. If200, please give us a satisfactory explanation.

IF200 did nothing when I emailed them, after 2 replies, they've stopped responding my emails. So much for customer service.

Yeah I wouldn't buy any IF200s until they give a definitive answer to this problem.

Maybe we should start a poll and send the results to IF! Something like:
Are you willing to buy any model from IF if they don't rectify the problem
of paint cracks!!!!!!
Arrogant firms like IF will only react in a favorable way if they're confronted
with a maximum amount of bad press!

I appreciate this thread because the Inflight Continental 747 in red meatball colors and the United 737 in Saul Bass colors are on my must have list. these would have been my only exception with the ridiculous prices for these Inflight models... Because of these paint issues, you can bet I will not be buying an Inflight at all! I definitely sympathize with you B747Forever and fellow collectors who have dealt with this issue...

Sorry to hear the sad news on your discovery !

I would say there is almost no hope of IF doing anything to compensate us collectors for the defect on the BA Landor B744. I contacted the dealer in HK & his hands were tied as well. That is why I would say that I will not purchase another IF until I can REALLY convice myself that its worth to get one.

That exact BA Landor B744 was the "darling" in my collection. It was my 1st flight on a Beoing 747-400 back on 14th Dec 1995 from SIN to Perth. Aslo it was also my honeymoon trip. So can you imagine my horror to find cracks all over the bottom blue dark blue part of the fuselarge?

Thanks for the replies.

I am surprised that IF ignores these issues even though they know about them.
