In the update pic it doesn't look half bad. I really want this model, very reluctant to order given the horrible earlier pictures. Will wait for Agent's pictures before pulling the trigger.

For me, these errors are fixable, and easily! Make the nose wheel smaller, make the main door slightly wider, make the rear windows slope upwards correctly and make the lip on the front of the engine nacelle's slightly deeper, ohh, and some antenna wouldn't hurt. Most moulds aren't 100% perfect, and I can deal with the seam-line and any issues people have with the nose.. But right now, I wouldn't pay how much they are asking. Make it £30 and I'm on board, otherwise, no thanks.

A month from now you might get lucky and find a retailer who is over-stocked on them and mark them down to that price, but not likely. £40 might get you one sooner rather than later, but no one is going to advertise it that price.

Even though they're a P.I.T.A. when they're missing, laying in the box, or otherwise not attached...I HATE when manufacturers don't include ANTENNAS on :200-scale models.

And, I know, "hate" is a strong word.

Being an Interflug collector, and God knows we're not spoilt for choice with models, I was gutted when I saw the Interflug A310, even my IMC one was more likeable. I don't expect we'll be treated to an 'upgraded' Interflug version anytime soon, if ever. Hopefully you Pan Am fans will fare better. I've dug out my 1/144 Revell Interflug A310, I suspect that as close as I'll get to a decent scale replica.

Hi,

Is this tooling the same or different than the Interflug version? It is too bad nobody had jump on this sorely missed mould. I used to live in Memphis and I saw a bunch of Fedex 310s all over the place. DP

It is too bad the model suffers with the fuse/wing vertical gap as seen with metal A300 moulds. They should have spent a little bit more and make a two piece wing assembly rather than one. Nowadays collectors are becoming more OCD and this I bet this thing won't please many... DP

why would the tooling be any different? would a company really change tooling on a second release?

this one only looks better because of the printing it seems to me. that interflug had wavy cheatlines and high doors and windows.

im sure HM knows that they will sell a handful of these, maybe not as much as if it was an accurate mold, but they will sell. thus is this hobby.

I totally agree. I would have been willing to buy the Interflug as it was except for that 'nose band'. It should be absolutely straight and horizontal, wether viewed from side on, or from the front, not rocket science. As I say, the Pan Am version looks much better. Considering the simplicity of the Interflug livery, I looked forward to a 'cracker', sadly it was not to be.
