Does the US Airways Shop ship to Canada? Everytime I input my postal code, it says " Exceeds Maximum Characters"....

It's great that US Airways wants to celebrate the story of Flight 1549 with a model, And a shame that Air Canada still want to keep the Gimli Glider story hidden.

Just recently, I bought the Phoenix USAir 737-400 there for only 29.99, and that one has become pretty hard to find.

Well, wasnt the Gimli Glider a result of Air Canada ground crew/crew incompetency (incompetency might be a harsh word, maybe human error is better)? The USAirways story on the other hand wasnt a result of such.

Yes, Gimli was a result of mistakes made, but in both cases we see examples of incredible piloting. So come on AC sanction that Gimli Glider model for us ! :cool:

One was not the airlines fault, the other was a miscalculation in fuel because of the recently adopted metric system at the time.. I can see why AirCanada might want to hide that one..

I'm very tempted to get the remaining 3, the Piedmont would look great next to the IF200 737-200... but then I would need to get that one as well ;)

Well, my package came today from US.

3 of the 737-400s (Piedmont, USAir, and US Airways old colors), as well as the Eagles A319, were fine.

Unfortunately, the current colors 734 arrived with 2 out of its 3 antennas snapped off at the base. N106US is missing (not snapped off) an upper antenna as well as the upper fuselage beacon. The vertical stabilizer had a rough "sticky" spot on it, and there were fingerprints on the chrome stand as well. So I strongly suspect that it was a previous return or something along those lines.

The models are all listed as "clearance" and "final sale" on their site, however I did send an e-mail to inquire about an exchange. So we'll see.

By the way, the price for N106US is up to $50 there now.

Sorry to hear that. My N106US arrived just fine. It is beautiful. Glad I got it for $35.

I'm glad to hear that you had no issues with the one you received. I got mine for $35 as well; just noticed that it went up to $50 when I went back to the site to e-mail them.

Just wanted to follow-up here. US Airways treated me well. They sent a pre-paid FDX Ground shipping label so I could return the damaged models for free. They exchanged both of them; the replacements arrived today.

The B734 (current colors) arrived with one lower fuselage antenna "missing", but it was floating around in the box and that was an easy fix.

The A320 N106US was perfect -- now I have #1153 of 1549.
