Cool Visit to Moin's Vault of Models.

On my last day in Karachi, I visited Moin's place and the room that houses all his models...Enjoy

Such a shame to have all those models in boxes. I can make plenty of room for quite a few of them to be displayed in their glory...

Hi Moin,
Just a fantastic collection!!!
Would you be interested in selling your Hogan 1:200 V Australia 777-300ER???. I have been looking the world over for one of these for a long time now.
You are a credit to the world of model collectors!!!

@QF707: Thanks for the compliment, and you too Nick! At this point I have no plans to part with any 1:200 models. The only 1:200 model I have sold was a Hogan NCA 748F because I had a spare. I'm downsizing my 1:400 collection so if anybody has any wants they can still contact me in that regard.

Its unfortunate that I have to keep most of the models boxed up in this manner, space being one constraint and dust being an even bigger problem. They're well protected against dust when boxed up which is why I only display about a dozen at a time in my room (being my own bedroom downstairs) and rotate them on a monthly basis.

The Jordanian Dash-8 was on ebay for quite a long time. Contact ebay seller 'wingsmodels' and he may be able to get hold of another one. It is a nice model although I would have preferred dark cockpit windows over bright silver.

Could I interest you in some unique Hogan samples perhaps???. Would not normally consider parting with these, but I really really need a Hogan 1:200 V Australia 777-300ER.
Yeah I know....but if you don't ask you don't get right!!!

Ahh yes... I have purchased from wingsmodels before... I knew the Jordanian looked fimilar! I know he use to have a lot of Jordanian models but they seem to have been sold out. Now that I work for Royal Jordanian, I wouldnt mind collecting a few of their models!

I wonder if that includes the Hogan Qantas 767-336 sample with the wrong engines (CF-6s instead of RB 211s) and incorrect overwing escape arrows, (not applicable for this aircraft cause it does not have overwing escape hatches). Or the Hogan Qantas A380 sample with the pre-2007 never actually worn "old" livery. Or maybe the Herpa 1:200 Qantas 767-338 sample that was approved by the airline but never released by Herpa, (for reasons unknown). If this looks like a blatant attempt at trying to influence or tempt Moin..guilty as charged your honour!!!

The Herpa 1:200 Qantas 767-338 sample is not inaccurate, in fact it is dam near perfect which is why it was airline-approved on the spot, (I have that info on VERY good authority!!!). To this day I do not know why Herpa did not release it, fair to say that it would have been very popular.
Why would Moin have all these samples if he disliked inaccurate models??? by definition most samples are inaccurate.

Actually I have the Hogan QF 767 with RR engines which I'm satisfied with. I'm not a big QF collector to be honest.

As for inaccurate models, yes I'm very particular about that, but only to certain extent. Whatever samples I do have, the only issues I have seen are the colors being slightly off, but then even standard release models by most manufacturers have that issue.
