Hi everyone,
Whilst I've been a member here for a few weeks now, this is my first new post.
I've been reading the other topic about Gemini Jets quality issues and instead of hijacking that one or getting embroiled in arguments or the like, thought that I'd post my concerns upon just receiving the aforementioned model today.
I've only recently got into aviation models, I've plenty of 1:76 scale diecast bus models (as my hobby of buses goes further back than aviation) but fancied a change seeing as my interest in aviation has taken off, so to speak.
I'm now on my second model; my first was the Delta 'widget' liveried Boeing 757-200 by GJ200. This promptly arrived but upon unpacking it, noticed that there was a paint chip on the nose which was quite noticeable as the nose is gloss black. I sent it back, got a refund, bought it again from elsewhere problem free. Thought it was just a blip. I didn't feel confident enough to dab some black gloss paint on myself.
Today I received my second model, the GJ200 AA B727-200 and was very excited about opening it up. Though was disappointed. Open the box to find the tail fin not attached to the aircraft body and also part of the horizontal stabiliser had come away from the tail. Not to mention bubbling around the cowl for engine 3 and what appears to be a long thin blemish on the tail where the AA logo is.
I have already discussed these issues with whom I bought it from who supported me in creating this post. Now that my second model arrived damaged, I'm obviously leaning towards the fact the quality control is a bit of an issue with Gemini Jets, as has been mentioned in a previous thread.
Anyway, I attach photos of the model as I unpacked it - I don't do unpacking photos or videos at all but made this an exception.
I'd like to hear others views on this... though please refrain from telling me I need a life etc due to my complaint. The model will be returned appropriately and the matter dealt with with the seller but thought I'd raise my concerns that the only 2 models I have bought so far, have been faulty.
Kind regards,
Adam

First photo showing dettached horizontal stabiliser. Top layer of packaging in situ.
Top layer of packaging removed to show the tail fin is also dettached.
Moved tail fin from packaging to show imperfection/blemishes across the 'AA' logo.
Some sort of bubbling imperfection above the number 3 engine inlet.
Another angle of the tail fin, to show the horizontal scratch or whatever, along the AA logo.
