Default Wanted: early DC-8 release

Will we ever see a decent "10-40 series" DC-8 in 1/200?

I never cared much for the 63 series 8s as i find those JT3D-3B engines to be friggin ugly. I would jump on a early 8 with a finely detailed rail ejector/pylon set-up. any other early-8 fans out there????

I got a similar thread going on the IF forum on 400 hangar. The Herpa 8 sucks and they have an agenda too.......Who would make a Lufthansa 8 (they leased one! ) when there are loads of "proper" schemes to be done like SAS, TAI, UAT, KLM diagonal, Iberia, Alitalia etc.

Bit of pressure on IF wouldn't be a bad thing.

Some years ago I added a 1:200 Jet Wings Saudia Royal Flight DC-8 62 to my collection. By today's standards not a great model, but it still looks good next to the Saudia Royal Flight L1011s, especially whith thos big CMFs hanging off the wings. Would love for someone to do a 1:200 the NASA DC-8 72 and a U.S.Navy EC-24 as well as some Peruvian, Spanish and Thai military examples.

Inflight is going to work their -62 and -63 to death before doing anything else.

If they ever do a new tooling of that older wing maybe they could fix the dihedral. It's too much.

Personally, I Grew Up On The Stove Pipes. I Do Prefer Them, But Yeah It's Great To Have The Older Versions In Your Collection Too.
I Own One Inflight DC-8.
