Question Landing gear problem on an IF 747

I have just got the CX 744 old color from a boardmate, and both the old and new livery is absolutely surperb

The only problem with it is the nose gear become airborne when it sit on a flat surface (Shown in above). After closer examination, the outer left central gear (From behind) is assembled a bit off and cause the problem.

I have try to pull it off (not too hard) but it is firmly fixed to the plane. I know the nose gear could be replaced by pulling it off.

Anyone has suggestion on how to fix the central gears alignments? Thanks a lot~

I'm the one who sold this to Patrick - if anyone can help him that would be great. I bought it from Don at Jetstreams (and have asked if he has any suggestions). I never removed it from the box, so I never noticed a problem. I know the gears on these heavier models can be an issue, but there must be some way to adjust them. It was very carefully packed, so I'm guessing this was something that occurred during assembly in the factory.

My delta av747 has the problem with the left outer main gear, except it doesnt pull the nose off the ground. I also tried to pull it out but I was afraid of breaking it.

most likely be associated with it being tail-heavy; that's all. no way around it unless u make the nose heavier.

I have the same problem with my IF200 UAL (Gray color), that the front gear is in lift off position. Jason's right, the model is tail-heavy, unless you break it apart and put weight in the front, it'll be kinda hard to resolve this problem. Or, inform Inflight about the issue. I'm pretty sure you're not the only one who has the problem

Yeah Larry, you are right. I guess one can saw it in half like Kaitanium did and put a weight in it after drilling a tube inside, lol

ALSO, if you can move the gears farther apart, lol. but then that would mean moving the wing toward the tail, lol.

My diecast B747s do that too; trying to take off... after awhile, i got used to it... lol.
