Default WARNING.... tigerlee Fraud

Hi All....

As some of you may be aware... i have had an issue with DAC member tigerlee regarding the purchase of the inflight200 Delta L1011.

I launched a dispute with Paypal, and today they have settled in my favour.

tigerlee is a fraud and i warn all members not to trust or buy/sell anything to him.

Paypal are unable to refund my money (which is a large amout) due to no funds in tigerlees Paypal, which is hardly surprising really.

So i have to settle with losing a small fortune, but i thought best to make everybody else aware so they dont fall into this guys trap.

I am utterly disgusted that this has happened and it is really making me think twice about future purchases.

This should not happen in our hobby........ But some people like tigerlee are just a disgrace and have no issues with preying on innocent collectors.

This issue has caused me alot of distress, so please dont fall into the same trap........

Cheers
Chris

i'm not surprised, i got a SQ 747-400 1/200 from this guy, model arrived ok, a week later he gave me a refund and then asked me to pay this ebay seller for a model he bought because his paypal account was blocked. he uses several paypal accounts, such as alicelim, stephenlee.

should i consider lucky to have received the model?!

DELTA - 711, I am sincerely sorry to hear this... I do fully agree with you that this kind of crooks does a lot of damage to this hobby. I lost USD 125 to another guy the same way two years ago so I understand how you feel... same here, Paypal account had been emptied so nothing they could/would do.
SQA380-842 : I think yes, you probably are lucky to have reeived your model...
Thanks God this kind of guys still remains an exception.
Cheers

I sold a model to tigerlee before and he claim that there are missing part. I strongly believed that he is a fraud. He start a Paypal dispute and unfortunately i have to refund in full and he agreed to send the model back to me. Until now, it is already 4 months and i still haven't received the model. He took my money and at the same time keep my model for himself.

Please be aware of this dirty buyer/seller!!!!

How are you guys buying from this person? Is he an E.Bay seller? If so, E.Bay can take action against him if enough complaints are made.

This guy seems to be a controversial person. He just had a dispute with AirParadigm a month ago and claimed he was the victim. Personally I'm happy with AirParadigm and never deal with tigerlee. Sorry to hear about your story and it's really a bad experience.

Wasn't he the guy with all those flashy advertisments....Great, now not only do you have to worry about buying from people like him, but you need to worry about selling your models too to people like him. Imagine you refund the money and then don't see your model too.

I'm sorry to hear this DELTA-711. Hell, I have to resort to stereotyping sellers when I peruse the Model Trader forum for these specific reasons. It may be offensive to say this, but stereotyping is a tool all of us should use to protect ourselves.

Default Re: WARNING.... tigerlee Fraud

once upon a time , in ebay.de, a young newly introduced ebayer, got cheated off almost half my bank account .. (relax,...phew... student bank account which was having like 900 bucks)

Kinda like the navie and the stupid maybe...

So, i was on ebay.de and saw posts of a KLM B747 Herpa premium and Emirates A300 Herpa premium by the same seller. To my luck i though ill buy both from this seller, and ended up winning the KLM for quite a heavy price about 435USD, and later decided not to go in for the Emirates A300 model.

Since the shipping costs were unthinkable for me to my home, i decided to get them posted to my friend in Vienna. He would send it to me alltogether later on as i bought a few of his models too. Once he recieved it, he didnt open the original packing, and sent this particular model as it was packed allerady along with the other models i purchaced from him. So one month later, when i recieved all my newly arrived models, to my humour, i also got one EMIRATES A300 MODEL! YES! its true an Emirates A300 model. Only no KLM , nowhere to be seen inside his dingy packbox, and umm, did i mention it had a broken engine and one main gear off; which the seller graced me by offering them to me inside the box carefully in an area, where they would have never fallen TOGETHER had they come off in transit(post), and horrendously yellowed all effin* over or should i say ., yes, there was a streak of WHITE on the upper spar area of the fuselge. It mayhave looked neat actually being all yellow... actually no,

I was so ANGRY, i called the seller, informed all i could about it, trying for a refund, talked ebay dispute personnel etc..etc.. then after a week i get one reply from him (which was abnormal, as earlier he used to reply promptly) saying I WILL LOOK INTO THE MATTER.
So, i witheled anything on goin proc. on ebay.

Soon eneough after 2 months, i get a reply from him that he has had an accident (car accident) and was in hospital all this while (and seemed like still was) and he will send me the KLM model.

Thank god i thought. needless to say its been 3 years, no KLM model. and no email reply from him. I reported him to ebay and paypal, but had exceeded all the available time in order for me to file dispute charges and ask for a refund. They said they could do nothing, but a report has been made of the same.

anyhow, i just like to think of myself as more cautious now, even over ebay., Only going for trusted sellers etc..etc..

In regard to the earlier post by SuperKungFu

I wish to clarify to you, i merely shared an ordeal i faced on ebay 3 years ago. The seller was some german dude. Not this one; that everyones talking about.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

and in continuation, i've started hating the very sight of them Emirates A300 airplanes! its so weird! every time i see one on ebay, or at the hobby stores, just creeps me out! .. i know its lame.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, dear mr 1:200Freak,

i understand, i was kinda outta line back there.. but;
everytime i write a post here on Dac, you have always something mean or rude to say over and over again. I dont know what the reason is.

At first i thought it very repulsive and thought to end my account here on Dac (as that was my first post), but i realize now, instead of getting all upset at everything you allege, i simply will not reply. nomore.

other Dac ers' also sent me messages that helped me realize this.

It's not worth it. You may say as you please.

^^Moime, Don't take anything too personal, dude. Just relax. You just have to spend more time here at DAC before you like it here. Don't get freaked out by our very own FREAK. It's nothing personal. That's all.

All you need to do is no longer register with ebay and set up again. It is very easy. I see people who buy models then when I go don't get feedback I see they are no longer registered but they appear under a new user again......
