saw pics of that craft before as well, and really thought if someone could do it in the 200 scale... RS maybe eh??

i am sure HG\HE\ALP aka LYSIA wont come out with one, so our only best bet is with RS...

Is Air Asia selling ad space on their aircraft?
It is the only reason I can think of for an asian carrier to sport a "barf" color scheme on a capital asset between KLP and a European capital.
Maybe one day we'll see a baby blue A380 sport Pfizer's Viagra colors?
Airbus 340-600 might be a good representation for Erectile Dysfunction
Maybe a A319 "before" and A340-600 "after" combo. Gotta park them next to each other at the gates however.

Its possible that Air Asia are offering their a/c as flying billboards. I could expect such a livery on a US carrier but a Malaysian airline that does not even fly to the US (yet) it is a little strange.

IMHO, the red engines do not match the overall color scheme.

[QUOTE=74Classic] might be a good representation for Erectile Dysfunction

Actually AirAsiaX already has words like "... fly Xtra long" painted on some of their A330s

O.K.- my opinion of this color scheme has dramatically improved. Wahooo!

Loved those Sky Europe 737 with the models on the side. Would definitely pick one up in 1:200 scale.

Maybe Los Angeles is their next destination? They're already out there to London, so it might be an extension of this service, or some other routing via the Pacific!

Though it would mean a pretty bold move, considering MH is downgrading the LAX route from 744 to 772, and cancelling it's Newark-Stockholm-Kuala Lumpur route completely.

airline route updates: Malaysia Airlines

MAS 777 to LAX from W09/10; First Class & 747 svc ends

As per GDS timetable display on 22JUL09, Malaysia Airlines' 3 weekly Kuala Lumpur - Taipei - Los Angeles service is to be operated by Boeing 777 from 26OCT09, replacing 747.

With the aircraft change, Malaysia Airlines will be ending First Class as well as Boeing 747 service to the US. In addition, the only carrier offering First Class service on the Taipei - Los Angeles nonstop sector, will be China Airlines.

The cancellation has not yet reflected in the GDS.

Edit as of 1300PDT/2100GMT 07JUL09, the GDS has been updated and showing last flight operating on 30SEP09.

Septembers Airliner World has a small article on air asia x in the news section.......

It states that they are looking to start US services next year following clearances... and it basically says that they see California, New York and Hawaii as the biggest markets.....

Time will tell........ i for one hope they do well if they start US services

You mean that MAS only flew 3 times a week to LAX?? I would have thought they were operating double daily flights.

I think the only double or triple dailies Pacific departures are from Qantas and Air New Zealand.

I would have thought that others like JAL, ANA, KE, Asiana, CX, TG, EVA, CI and SIA all had at least twice daily flights to LAX.
