Default What percentage of your collection are...

displayed and what percentage are still in their boxes?

And what percentage are wide-bodied/twin aisle and what percentage are narrow-bodied/single aisle?

I'll get the party started here with mine. All but one of my models is displayed (the one is not yet built!) and about 40% are single aisle and the rest are twin aisle. To take it a step further, 10% of my models are 400 scale and the rest are 200.

200 scale: 100% displayed
46.3% Twin Aisle/53.7% Single Aisle

400 scale: 100% boxed
65.4% Twin Aisle/34.6% Single Aisle

I was like you, where I had all of my 400 boxed and put away, but now that I have so few (four), they are on display with the rest.

About 20% of my 1:200 collection is on display in my room and there is no place to sit. Only 2 of my 1:400's are on display and I'm seriously contemplating trimming down the 1:400's.

I thought this would be a difficult question for you, Moin, and those who have large collections, especially as the two-part question relates to twin-aisle single-aisle percentages.

Do you prefer 200 scale?

100% displayed, 1:200
95% twin aisle
5% single aisle

100% displayed, 1:500
About 85% twin aisle
15% single aisle

I was at the crossroad a couple of weeks ago when I got my new cabinets. Display all my 400 scales, or keep them boxed up? My room gets extremely dusty and I was thinking how much time it would take to clean all the models.

I didn't think the 200 scale would be an issue because it'll probably be easier to wipe it down with a towel, at least easier compared to the 400 scale.

Now if I can convert one of the other rooms into my hobby room, that'll lead to a different story.

Every single Herpa is boxed, some Skymarks (for future sale) are also boxed.Otherwise about 135-140 are on display which would account for 70-75% on display, while 25% are boxed. Out of these the single-ailse would be around 5%, don't like collecting those bugs! And other scales would account to just 5 planes

Please don't ask about twin/single aisle percentages. That's something I seriously would not be able to tell, and yes I do prefer 200 scale. You get so much more for the money but that doesn't mean I've given up on 400 scale either. Those PX new releases always have something or the other for me.
