Jason,

Strange that you are after InFlight 200 B732's after all that you have said about the nose and flight deck windows!

I second the request for a good BAC 1-11-500! Dan Air, British Island Airways and British Caledonian. (Diecast)

I prefer Hogan models and current airline schemes but heres what I would like to see:

Airtran 717 and 737
Caribbean Sun/Caribbean Star Dash-8 (once made by Skymarks but now not availible)
Liat Dash-8
Comair/Delta Connection CRJs in new colors
American MD-82/83
United 737-500
DHL 767-200 (ex. Airborne Express planes)
Any FedEx or UPS planes.
An affordable Hogan American Airlines A-300 (aside from the $200 Herpa premium)
American 767-200
Northwest DC-9 (any series in the current colors, as long as these have been flying, they deserve to be made in an affordable 1:200 scale)
I'd even take a new Skybus A-319.

Graham

Sorry for not answering before, i was in Seville some days.

No, but with some litle research... She was never delivered to TAE!

I reproduce part of May 2007 J.Rodriguez's article in Airliner World about the spanish charters carriers 1960-1970:
"...In September 1966 TAE reached an agreement with Air France to buy one of his L-1049G Super contellations (F-BGNJ c/n 4519), Witch had been in storage in Paris/Orly since october 1963. The aircraft underwent pre-delivery maintenance and was painted in hybrid TAE/Air France colours whit a Spanish reg. (EC-BEN), althrough further shortage of funds pervert its delivery..."
Later in 1967 a TAE DC-7 took the same reg.

Also i fin more information about the F-BGNJ:
http://www.conniesurvivors.com/1-con...chive_2006.htm
"On May 1, 2004, long time residence of Chateau Bougon Airport in Nantes, France was towed across the airport to a new home at the future side of the AEROSCOPE Museum. Originally delivered to Air France as F-BGNJ in November 1953, this aircraft served with French airlines Air Fret and CATAIR before being ferried to Nantes in May 1974 for use as a tourist attraction. It has sported a number of color schemes since arriving at Nantes including Lockheed’s prototype Super Constellation and Air France colors. The French government designated the aircraft a historic monument in 2001 and restoration began shortly thereafter with the removal of the Air France colors. In April 2005 a hangar at the museum’s site was cleaned and the airplane moved in for painting on May 17, 2006 barely clearing the entrance..."

About the bellied 727 she´s the EC-CFC "Tarragona" sadly scrapped in 2001.

Graham, i have a "sad" present for you...

I found this, curious and never published pictures, unexpectedly in a spanish chat, The dude father was a retired worker of the Barcelona airport.

She was the N7125C operating for Iberia and leased by TWA.

The Super Constellation was on final approach to Barcelona when the left main gear leg struck a small heap of rubbish 34m short of the runway threshold. The wheels where torn off and the aircraft continued 170m along the runway and swerved to the left off the runway and caught fire.

Curiosity... The man was looking to the camera is the famous F.C. Barcelona hungarian player, Ladislao Kubala and was flying in the plane.

hope you enjoy!

Thank you so much for these pics. I have never seen them before and I have been collecting all kinds of super connie pics for 47 years.

What is more important, to my knowledge, no other photos of N7125c (whilst on lease to Iberia) are known to exist. Therefore I had always assumed this was short term lease and the aircraft probably never carried the Iberia scheme. Now I know that's not the case, and quite clearly 7125C was fully decked out as Iberia ! A fantastic snippet of super connie history. You've made my day.....no make that my year !

Graham

Any more goodies like this are very welcome.

Jim, I dug out this Nimrod pic. Made by John Alcott. Nearest thing to a well modelled comet IV in 1:200 that I have.

Good to hear from a fellow retro lover. Not many of us around compared to modern outline freaks. Keep up with more retro postings on this site, otherwise it may soon be a waste of time for us with a more historical interest.

Wow - I like old threads being revived! It's definetly a Boeing 707-400 and a Boeing 720 for me!!!

Here's a B720 in its Lufthansa delivery-colours.

The 707-400 wore several liveries while in the Lufthansa-fleet.

Wow! Talk about necro-posting!!

I'd like Gemini to put the mould for their sweet CRJ-900 to use again and cough up one in the NEW Airfrance/Britair livery. I have Delta one, saw recently their SAS one, and that little gem has to be one of their masterpieces.

That is ALL I really would like, I have space for it NOW, and I'd be happy to pay a premium for it.

C'mon, CrownVic . . . use your influence for a fellow supporter!
