Relax gentlemen! Give the DAC team members some time to add it in. After all, it ain't the end of the world if it's not there.

due to license issue, the LH will not be released due to license issue... if Hogan is able to obtain a license agreement and with Lufthansa's permission then the 747-8IC can be produced for general retail.....

To me the wooden stand it's really look like a Risesoon release, the Hogan release nomally comes with a plastic stand, & it cost $49.95 from official Hogan web site instead of $39.95 from Boeing store.

BoeingStore.com : Product Catalog : 747-8IC SPECIAL EDITION MODEL.

i agree with u that the stand looks like that of risesoon's. some didn't agree though.

Herpa stand is cool too. Kind of small and I am worried that planes will tip right over.

i've never seen hogan stands. is it bigger than herpa? this pix make it look much bigger than that of Herpa stands.

does the boeing shop one come with rubber tires or did you change them? and if it comes with them does the normal hogan release will come with them too?

And are the gear on the Boeing Store version removable? That is one feature of Hogan that I really like.

its already a fact that its a hogan. made with perhaps a boeing-speced stand
risesoons dont have color coordinated landing gear doors and dont have wing roots like that

its comes with the rubber tires and 200scale.com in my opinion overcharges or charges the msrp. so there you guys go.

no doubt! kaitanium's right! it even has HOGAN imprint on belly of this model!

I have a feeling that this stand is neither HOGAN's nor RISESOON's. because i think i saw similar stands for RISESOON (Exclusive for Boeing) models (ie. CI B744 dreamliner) as well as this HOGAN dreamliner.

That rod connects model to the stand base can easily be changed / replaced / modified to fit either HOGAN or RISESOON models. u just have to screw the rod in using 2 screws at the base, that's all.

Hi,

So why do you prefer buy Hogan model? Whats the real different between Hogan and Boeing Store models except the stand?

for the third time
BOTH PICTURES of the model ARE HOGANS!
no difference between boeing store and hogan's regular release except for the stand and maybe the box (at least for this 748)! both are made by hogan!
so if hogan makes boeing store's 748 models, then its a HOGAN. and if hogan makes hogan models then hogan models are HOGAN.

i hope you guys arent playing with me on purpose

and just so i can beat this rather entertaining topic dead...
this is a HOGAN (regular cheaper release) that isnt widely avaliable in stores yet

and this is a HOGAN, just different stand sold and made exclusively by and for the boeing store. the wooden stand doesnt negate the fact that it is a HOGAN. but in case you were wondering if you go to risesoons website, you will notice that their models, the ones made exclusively for boeing (not necessarily the store) also have this same stand which leads me to conclude that ANY 1:200 model made for boeing itself will have this standard stand perhaps specified by boeing.

case and point...
risesoon eva 773ER produced exclusively for boeing has the stand.

risesoon cal 744 has the stand also

also other various models that arent labeled as exclusively produced have this stand too for really no reason.
shall i list other examples?

basically my theory is that 1:200 models regardless of manufacturer that are made for boeing exclusively will have that stand.

sorry that was long winded, by the way did i mention that both 748s shown above were HOGANs?

I just asked why do you prefer buy the model from Hogan website instead of Boeing Store... (You said "Don't be donating more money to Boeing") But on the Boeing Store the model is the least expensive, isnt it?

i would assume that kaitanium is right on this one. we'll have to wait and see once regular model is released in May; unless someone already knows about regular release.

sorry that was long winded, by the way did i mention that both 748s shown above were HOGANs?
Relax gentlemen! After all it's just a model! There is no point for confusion here. For those who want these models (IC & F) badly but not sure which or where to get them, I suggest that you be a little patient as not all retailers have announced that they will be selling them. When they do, you can make your decision later. After all it's just a model! Gee, glad that I am not planning on acquiring this model, unless it comes with a real Boeing registration after its maiden fligh! '

Maybe it should be slightly less expensive since the B747-8 is the closest competitor to the A380 but only smaller and carries less pax & payload.

Since theyre both Hogan's mould, what's a few dollars one way or the other? I just supported the Boeing store and couldn't be happier. If you want this bird now, its there.

The Boeing Store model pic is confusing as it lacks nosegear doors and is grainy at best.

Thanks to Jason'a pics and Kaitaniums triple-threat-plead , the mystery is solved. They're all Hogan's mould. !

If you see Jasons pics, the gears are separate and need to be inserted. I like this in case you want to do a gear up display.

Just a heads up: The Boeing store is selling the pax version for 39.99, plus 7.95 (USA domestic), shipping via FedEx.

Many thanks,

I know! I'm looking for any models which might be "superfluous to needs" in Germany - and will pay for the same! My collection, albeit small, has a couple of "specials"!
