Thanks Sascha ..

In the last WingsWorld the article they mentioned Aeroflot ordered them to celebrate their new colors and aircraft. They were promotional items with some extra models ending up on the eXtra website.

I don't know I still like the Hogan's Airbus versions. The Hogan's just seem to be a little more on the mark with the mold and detail for the Airbus. Has anyone ever tried using Hasegawa engines and other parts on their Airbus snap-togethers. How about just re-painting or using 1/200 scale decals for the engines etc?

Head over to Herpa.de:
http://www.herpa.de/herpa_e.htm
Then click on "eXtra-SHOP"
- you're looking for the third section: "eXtra-Collection" and click on "Wings"

The Aeroflot models are at the bottom. If you've never ordered before, you'll need to get a user id...which is free. Enjoy!

Happy I could help! The '319 looks like a good one. ACB has a close relationship with Herpa and their eXtra shop - so keep an eye on both in the future. ACB will sometimes have the same items at either the same price or a little more. Sometimes the stuff the ends up at the eXtra shop is so limited that it nevers makes it to ACB.

Maybe some more `Flot 1/200s in future?
(tho we may now not see the 777s in latest `Flot livery):

24.09.2004
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aeroflot (SU/Moscow Sheremetyevo) and Austrian Airlines (OS/Vienna) are reportedly planning a fleet swap with Austrian Airlines subsidiary Lauda Air (NG/Vienna) taking over Aeroflot’s two B777-200ERs and Aeroflot taking two A340-200s in return. Aeroflot is also planning to lease three B757-200s and three B767-300ER currently operated by MyTravel Airways (VZ/Manchester).

Nice pics Sascha - they're hot models! Would you say that your photos captured the "silver" accurately? You know how photo's and paint vary...I'm just curious. Thanks for sharing.

Just got my 319. Excellent model! Its shifted up that notch to Starjets quality. I'm very impressed. Don't worry about the silver glitter effect. Its the same as with the 1:400 Aeroclassics: a photographic/flash artifact and even less of a potentially visible problem in 1:200..

the only thing i don't like about regular herpa models are the gears. they are so spaced apart and their shape are more like cylinders rather than "tires". if you look at the nose gear especially, the distance between the two tires are so spaced apart. they llok like toys instead of collectibles.

i think starjets make better models, more acurate and better details. plus their wheels are attach on metal axles. it gives you a feeling of real rubber when you roll the plane.
