Default Jetwings Convair 880 & 990

Has anyone seen the Jetwings Convair 880 or 990? Any comments about their quality?

I have the SPANTAX CV990, got it a while back.
Quality not the best in the world. A bit corse in some places, but being as though they are the only game in town for a Convair jet. I am glad I got it.

I'll try and post you a couple of pictures tomorrow.

I've been looking for the old Glencoe 880 model kit, Weird scale too, 1/139 scale. Personally I like to build my own big stuff, the only exception is Inflight models, I love their DC-10s.

I have both the 880 (TWA) and 990 (two- Swissair and AA). As jjorge says, the 990 is not the greatest, but it's the only one around. But the 880 is really substandard. The proportions are way off, giving it a toylike appearance.

I would be surprised if either is still available. (If anybody wants the 880, I would be willing to part with it.)

Then surprised you are!

The Glencoe Convair 880 is available - I have them in stock. Ditto the 1/96 scale Viscount 700....

FYI, there is also a 1/131 scale (same as Revell, go figure!) resin Convair 990 available, by InFormation. Comes with Denver Ports of Call decal, by Draw Decals. An improved version of Revell's hard to find kit. Again, in stock.

Thanks!

Sorry Russell, I was not specific. I was referring to the JetWings 1:200 die-cast metal models from CAM UK that culture was originally asking about.
