Default Herpa Premium & JC Wings questions

1.) I was looking at a Herpa Premium 1:200 Continental 737-300. I'm pretty sure it's plastic and from all the pics I've seen, there appear to be some fairly noticeable manufacturing "creases' stretching from forward of the aft doors to the tail. I wondered if anybody has purchased any of these or similar and how happy or unhappy you are with them.

2.) Does anybody know why the JC wings 1:200 MD11 "blank" model has so many windows depicted as plugged or shades down? Is it possible to find decals or something if one wanted them "open?" I'd be afraid to try painting them in. Just curious.

Yes, the Herpa Premium and Herpa Modell Edition releases are plastic. The creases you see are actually how they're produced - I believe the fuselage is created in 3 pieces that are sandwiched together - top, bottom, middle. They are finely detailed and have clear cockpit and passenger windows. All these years later, they are still sought after by collectors. Here's a photo of the Continental, though you may have already seen it.
