There is a new release. If you are interested here is the information on where to get it. This is another exclusive Martin, from the same place I purchased my China Airlines 777-300ER Advance engine option. If you want a limited edition of Cathay Pacific like Ken (above) of a A340-642 rego B-HQA made by JCW then you had better act fast and visit Collectors Wings Shop on Facebook and order or online www.collectorwingsmodel.com
Happy 75th Anniversary Cathay Pacific 24/SEP/2021
Cathay Pacific was officially founded in Hong Kong 24th September 1946, by two enterprising adventures, an American Roy Farrel and an Australian Sydney de Kantzow, who each put up HK$ 1.00 dollar each to register the airline. Farrel and de Kantzow, had met while flying Douglas C47 transport aircraft (the military equivalent of the DC3) for the China National Aviation Company during World War 2.
In 1945 Farrel brought a war surplus DC3 named "Betty" Which he and de Kantzow operated out of Shanghai until political pressure forced the operation to move to Hong Kong's war damaged Kai Tak airfield in May1946.
"Betsy" VR-HDB and her sister VR-HDA DC3 "Nikki" where the registered in Hong Kong as a new company Cathay Pacific Airways.
I am looking forward to the 75th Anniversary aircraft. If they do one. In the mean time let's go back 25 years, reminiscing the 50th anniversary on a A340-211
