Thumbs down 1:200 JC Wings Boeing B737-700 BBJ (XX2322)

The Boeing 757-700 BBJ [Boeing Business Jet] VIP demonstrator has arrived.

I believe this is a GeminiJets mold, with its classic features and quality issues, specially the landing gears.

It came with a removeable undercarriage [landing gears] option, forcefully stuck under the tail area, as there's no designated cradle location for the gear assemblies.
I think this release was meant to be a 'fixed undercarriage' model.

The undercarriages didn't fit properly [sitting crooked and wonky], with the tendency of falling off, all the time. Not to mention the gear length, seemed way too short, no allowing any engine clearance to the ground as they were almost touching

I was quite disappointed, and wanted to return it to the seller, but the return postage to China, was way to much, so the seller understood the landing gear issues and refunded 50% of its price.

Anyways, after a long struggle, attempts and many adjustments to the landing gears, I ended up adding a 1.0 mm plastic spacer to the main L/R undercarriage locations, to provide clearance to the engines and permanently attached the gears on.

My overall impression of this model, is not a good effort from JC Wings

I personally, don't recommend buying it. It's a total flop

Well OP, you made lemonade out of lemons, plus got some money back! Your fixes make it look nice from your pics. Maybe over time the work you had to put into it will fade and you will enjoy the model. If not sell it!

not to mention this model seems to be a lot lighter compared to the other diecast 737s

It's unfortunate, unpleasant and frustrating. I totally understand how you feel.

Thanks for the encouragement
From a reasonable distance, the model looks fine, but still remains a 'lemon'.
I don't think anybody would want to buy a 'lemon' even after all the changes I made to it
I shall list the model on eBay to see if any interest.

Yes, I forgot to mention that. Its quite light, doesn't seem to be diecast. Very unusual

It's not a bad model, especially for the price I got it for. The nose shape has improved, though the nose gear door insertion is too long which is my issue.
