Default Inflight200 US Airways A330

I was wondering if anybody else is disappointed with the radome on this otherwise stunning model. I really want it but I'm worried that the over exaggerated ring will always bug me and I'm afraid to try and paint over it.
Any thoughts?

I'd be more worried about the vertical tail being lightyears away from anything Airbus.
I perfectly could live with that ring though.

It seems inflight do this on all their models now, it looks ok on white but over color, especially dark colors it looks over done, personally I'd rather not have it at all, but if I really wanted the model it wouldn't stop me buying it.

I passed on this model as something didn't quite look right to me! I've noticed it is hanging around a few retailers as well!

Some years ago Airbus modified on its production line the vertical fins of its A 330s, I published on this forum manufacturer documents showing clearly this.

A few weeks later, Inflight published some pictures of its first A 330, an RAF MRTT Voyager, there was something disturbing in the vertical fin which was a bit too high with a chord (width) too narrow.

It seems that modifications were brought to the fin but I am not sure that the problem was entirely fixed so I stay away from the model.
Surprisingly, the A 340s look good.

The most important thing is that you enjoy your model.

Jean Pierre.

jcahea: yeah, I had pretty much decided against it and was gonna move on the next item on my wish list, the World Airways 747... but after weeks of looking at photos of it, I just today noticed the white lines outlining the radome and the nose cargo loading door. I mean, I appreciate their effort to include details, but these things aren't really noticeable on a real aircraft unless you're right up against it. Maybe they could make the lines thinner and fainter? Guess I'll keep moving down the list for now. I have an AeroClassics 1:200 on my radar, plus a couple of GeminiJets.

Good on you old bones keep on keeping on! Weeks of studding it must have helped and made you very tired. And by now someone should have welcomed you to the forum. Why not? Who knows, go figure?
