Default one that slipped under the radar of announcements

another jfox cathay 747-400 in the green/white polished livery from the late 80's. this one is reg VR-HOP. i have VR-HOO jc wings issued about 5 years ago. appears very few places have it listed for pre order, and its buried with a generic description for obvious reasons.

Very interesting. Was my first ever 747-400 sighting in Kai Tak in July 1989. Any idea or hint whether it will be on JC Wings or Inflight mould? Would strongly prefer JC Wings. Thanks for the heads-up!

Thus it comes with fixed gear like all Inflight/WB/JFox 747 releases? I really love CX and the old livery and this model would be a nice addition to my latest CX and Dragonair Tristar JFox releases (which have detachable landing gear) but honestly this is still a no go for me. Especially for the price.

White box and j-fox are a little on the high side. Reason = small production runs.

Well in AMS this preorder model does not seem too expensive. I joined the club and ordered right now . Many many thanks for this information. CX 744s were the Queens among the Queens by 1990-1991 . I knew their CX network by heart at that time. That is to remember good days .

How come they use “Miscellaneous Pacific” instead of the real name?

JFox, WB-Models, B Models, ARD and AV200 using the Inflight moulds for their producitons. For 747 it means cradle mould and fixed landing gear.

This model does not appear to have cradle mould or am I mistaken? It is a 747-400 from Cathay related a few years back. But is a JC release.

JC has its own 744 mould. No cradle. But JFox is using the older Inflight mould.

You've caught the bug. Straying far from KLM. Easy to do.

Yes you are right....

But I grew up in Hong Kong as a kid and spend many Sundays with my parents in a park near Kai Tak. So the lettuce ones... really are special for me. We fly a lot of Cathay in those days and the Green Salad ones really make me weak......

So I am lucky that not many are around and not many different planes where flown in the 76/85 period...
