Default China Airlines Advance Engine Opions

By ALBATROS

This model is SKU # ALB2CI77WE (FLAPS UP)

If you want your model hurtling down the runway with reverse thrust deployed on your engines and flaps down then you need to purchase ALB2CI77WAE

Some collectors are weary or skeptical of unseemly gaps with interactive series and Concorde. This model comes with two engines for both sides which simply slide on the engine pylons and lock into place. The Advance engine option has two configurations. (1) with reverse thrust and (2) Engine maintenance with engine cowlings hinged on both sides to lift up and there is also a bracket for each side to hold the cowlings open both sides with two spares. The back of the box also has a parking apron (please don't destroy your box) it's purpose is just for taking photo's on.

Albratros have also releases EVA Air Advance Engine options. Flaps up and flaps down.

Please enjoy the very next higher level of our hobby

I hope you don't mind a couple more. No engines option (in hanger waiting engine change)

Thank you Steve.

Very nice and beautifully made.
Just one note to the manufacturers about the B 747s all variants.

The configuration all slats and flaps down is not compatible with the thrust reversers deployed.

To avoid excessive loads on the slats and flaps of the leading edges, they automatically retract when the thrust reversers are activated.

During the landing run only the flaps on the trailing edges remain deployed as long as the thrust reversers are used.

The spoilers extend automatically when the main landing gear is on the ground.
They are retracted manually when reaching 80 kts.

Jean Pierre.

No problems my friend. I did mention in the intro, this model comes with them. I merely didn't have time to add this pick today as my dog was pushing for walkies as much as he could. Here are the engine cowling supports you are referring to. If you want me to attach it's going to have be tomorrow.

The idea is good, but the quality needs to be improved. Many bugs are still visible.
So far there is nothing to pay for...

Thank you JP for your comments above and I actually can't wait for a 747-400 to be made with these features

I read that in the intro, so I thought why you wouldn't include them in the photo; i now know the reason why!

I'm guessing that the mould is JC wings?

Cracking stuff.
Now inflight Gemini et al start including stuff like this with your flaps down models.

JC wings did a Kenya Airways one in 2017, it looked really good. This looks very similar to that example, hence why I think it's a JC wings mould.

Hi- great new features. The reverse thrust option would look great on a flaps extended version.

Regarding Boeing 747:

Speaking only with the knowledge of the 747-400 and 747-8 and not the Classics, the inboard and midspan sections retract upon thrust reverser activation and the outboard section remains extended (however, one panel of the outboard section- the first panel outboard of the #1/4 engine- also retracts on 747-8).

Spoilers: depends on company SOP but generally never above 60kts and usually when vacating the runway.

I like the cowls open for maintenance. The reversers deployed, don't really make sense to me. Unless Gemini for example, carry the flaps down version a couple of steps further. Spoilers up and reversers deployed. In other words, full landing configuration.

I wrote "spoilers are retracted when reaching 80 kts" ...

I don't know why I wrote that, I certainly had in mind the trust reversers which were stowed at 80 kts, the spoilers being, as you said, retracted when vacating the runway.

Thank you for correcting me.
My apologies.

Jean Pierre.

I know what you are going to see in this post is not the best photo, but here is a picture of ALB2CI77WAE (FLAPS DOWN) same as my copy, this model also came with two engine types but flaps down, and looks better with reverse thrust on landing. I chose my copy for maintenance display. Here is probably the only view of flaps down you will see unless one of you have got it. Hopefully one of you has. I look forward to more photo's of it. I think they were small production runs.

Better than words, a picture better explains what I said in post #4.

Check the configuration of the leading edge slats and flaps while the thrust reversers are activated.

You will find pictures showing the thrust reversers moving rearward with leading edges devices fully extended.
Simply it takes time to have them retracted.

Jean Pierre.

Never any problems at all Jean Pierre. Your wisdom and knowledge from your first hand pilot experience comments are always welcome. I too, hope that one day there will be, advance engine options on 747'swith flaps down with all engine type that came with the 747's.

Cheers Steve

The outboard slat stays extended to assist with outboard aileron control. I dont understand why the inboard slats reextend back out after reversers are stowed?

Damn, these 1/200's are 'as real as it gets'.
Does Albatross just do CI boeing hybrid stuff? I have the 1/400 CI dreamliner 744 livery and haven't heard much about the brand before.
