Nice Saul Bass 757!

Is the IF200 757 better than the G200 757?

Hi stevec

Great catch with the China Southern A330 B-5940 'CIIE' love this aircraft livery as I graphed the real thing in Sai Gon(SGN) Vietnam earlier this year. Where did you buy this fantastic model from? Love to get hold of one myself soon.

ARD200 British B787-10 (ARDBA02) Reg: G-ZBLA with collector coin. I flew in this lovely aircraft on 2nd/3rd October. This is the first ARD200 model I've purchased. (I know it's made by IF200 and it's the first new IF200 model I've purchased in MANY years.) I'll take more piccies when I buy a new mobile.

3 arrivals this past week. First up is the G200 Frontier A319, which was a very long hunt to find! Thanks to fellow forum member KLM4me, who pointed me to the retailer in Germany that had this model in perfect condition!

Hope GJ releases a few more in this older billboard livery on the A320 and A320 with similar style "FLYFRONTIER.COM" billboard livery. Not sure if anyone remembers, but Frontier had 11 of the A318s with this livery too. These were fairly new aircraft, but 10 of the 11 have already been scrapped. Searching the Internet, it seems the reason they were scrapped was because the engines and parts were worth more than keeping the aircraft whole????

JFOX Delta Air Lines A321. I already have the G200 version, but recently got an LH A321 by JFOX, really liked the way that model looked, so went ahead and got this DL A321. I still like G200's DL A321 better for some reason. Also, the engine cowlings on the LH A321 are a different longer type that I think look better on the A321 than these engines on the Delta. (scroll all the way up for photos of the LH A321)

Gemini Jets 1:200 Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700 "Florida One - N945WN" G2SWA914

I was looking to buy a model to represent the American airlines for me.

So when i saw this "Florida One" model i decided to buy it because i have a friend who lives in Florida and i was lucky to get this on sale for 70 euro.

I start to love Southwest, not sure how good they are as airline but they have really cool liveries.

(i already knew that, but too bad unlike JC Wings who gives a nice stand with the name of airline, aircraft type and scale written on it this one comes with that stupid wire stand)

This one was sort of a happy accident. I went to the Megastore south of Schiphol today to pick up some GSE when this model was looking at me from the shelve behind.
With the thought in mind by building up my Scandinavian carriers collection I picked it up and immediately recognized the registration.
It was the exact same one I have been flying in my simulator at home for the past year or so.
So I unpacked it and had a look and I just had to have it. (last pic is from the sim(obviously))

Three arrivals this week. First up, AA B767-300 by Inflight200. I pre-ordered this after giving up on finding G200's hard as heck to find wingletted version. After pre-ordering this, got G200's 767 through Waffle's collection sale. Of course! That's how life works.

Still, this is a keeper as I've flown on these without the winglets more often back in my traveling days! This model is much nicer in hand as the camera just cannot capture the beauty of bare metal!

JFOX Lufthansa A320 "Say Yes To Europe". I do like collecting Lufthansa models, but with their current livery being very boring, I gravitate towards these aircraft with special markings (I'm sure it's just a matter of time for an A359 with the #TogetherAgain markings to get released). I don't follow European politics, but the purpose of this livery can be found in this link:

https://www.lufthansagroup.com/en/ne...elections.html

I don't know if I'm opening a can of worms here with bringing up European elections, but let's keep this as a photo thread and refrain from discussing the results.

I got a couple of the IF200 AA 763s last week, Jetway Models was the first retailer I saw who had them in stock, now I’ve noticed other retailers around the country have them this week. I always wanted an AA 763 without winglets, too, as I worked aboard them like that back in the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s.

I was a little hesitant to order an Inflight in polished metal, as my AA Convair 990s have tarnished into shades of green and purple, and the tarnish on my AA BAC-1-11 slowly spread across the model like a tumor as time progressed. I have an AA DC-10-30 from them that seems to be holding up so far, and a couple AA 727-100s in the Scissor Eagle Silverbird livery that are also alright.

I know a lot of people love Inflight, but I still prefer Gemini or JC Wings for polished metal. One of the 763s has the windows on the left side not aligned with the blue stripe of the cheatline, and they go into the white stripe in the aft section of the fuselage. The other one has strange scratches on the top of the fuselage in the polished metal. They’re okay, but not great, and I’m not going burden the retailer by trying to exchange them for such trivial flaws, but I think Inflight could do a better job.

I have a pair of the GJ200 AA 763s with winglets that were released over 10 years ago now, and they’re as perfect as they were when I got them way back then.

Yikes!! I don't like the description of what's happening to some of your models. Hopefully this B763 by IF200 will hold up, but only time will tell I guess. I got the GJ one with the winglets a couple of months ago. For a model that was released over ten years ago, it still looks superb without any tarnishing whatsoever.

I just purchased another model with lots of polished metal. Will post photos after it arrives.

Usually Gemini does the best with polished metal. I also have a really old Phoenix 200 AA 727-100 that was released at the very dawn of 1:200 diecast and it’s stood the test of time. What a gem of a model that is!

Great you were able to find a GJ200 AA 763W, hope you didn’t pay hundreds for it!

Sorry to read about some of your AA polished birds!

Luckily I don't have any that are really bad as you describe. Here are just a few in my collection on display.

...not much into fantasy, but like United Livery of this era and Concorde...have to make exceptions to some semblance of a criteria (I think I may have a criteria somewhere).

Nice! The Oneworld aircraft, is it a 757 or 767? Looks like a 767, but I can't find one in the database that has winglets in that livery.

A couple hundred. So I guess that does count as paying "hundreds" for it? Thought it was a fair price for how long ago it was released and how hard it is to find.

Hi Harvey, it is a Stang Custom! He had it listed a few years ago and kept relisting it so I made him an offer (forget what it was) and he accepted. It is a beauty and he does nice work! It is a 767. Glad the JC Wings release is non-wingleted as it was announced right after I bought the custom.

You got a good deal on the AA 767 Harvey! Don't look back and enjoy that beauty! Congratulations on the new addition.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. Thought it was GJ's 757WL, but it looked rather bloated to be that!

The highly polished model I just acquired this week that I PMed you about is the one you just mentioned. Will post photos this weekend.
