Herpa BOAC 707-436 , 1967 colours my very last acquisition “suddenly last Summer”

Note this typical nose of the Boeing 707/727/737 which went so far as to greet the passengers in the terminals and something indescribable so beautiful it is .

Cheers denn

Inflight BRITISH CALEDONIAN Boeing 747-200B G-HUGE, item #IFCLEV747007, a
Cleveland UK‘s exclusive release back in 2017. Bought off ebay two weeks ago, a very nice model (the forthcoming new IF release with polished belly will surely be even more attractive).

Next delivery will probably be IF EASTERN AIR LINES Boeing 757-200 as soon as my retailer gets it.

From the angle of the picture, it does seem to be a bit pointy. That view angle shall not be taken as true nose shape.
Perhaps another picture of the nose side view, will help determine the actual shape.

I have the model, in real the nose is not so pointy. It really is the angle.
Unfortunately I cant upload pictures yet onto this forum to prove that point.

JC Wings American L-188 Electra. The International Orange livery is a bit neon, but not a true red like the Hobby Master version that I have that was released ten years ago. The propeller spinners are really pointy, the real ones were shorter. Also missing are the “American” titles at the nose in the orange stripe. But still it’s okay.

...and this POS by IFFY200:

Attachment 367182

...you ask why POS, well my luck is similar to CROWNVICs, don't know if his ever showed up, but wish mine wouldn't have!

Issues as follows: Chip in black paint on nose (touched up), two scratches on starboard side near "Lockheed" titles (cleaned up a little, but still visible), fingerprints in vertical stabilizer paint on starboard side (compounded and polished-still slightly visible), scratch in paint and factory or retailer touch up on port side vertical stabilizer that was smeared (buffed out-still slightly visible), paint chip on bottom of starboard horizontal stabilizer that was horribly done at factory or retailer (I redid the touch-up-a little better), and finally, if that was not enough, number 2 exhaust paint smeared showing some white of plastic (currently drying after respray as photo shows it missing)! No I couldn't return it to retailer as it is sold out!

WAY TO GO INFERIOR200! I hope the huts someone is building in Central America don't have the same poor build quality!

The 747 is eternal no offense to all those who wanted to dethrone it in favor of a stretched MD11 , an A330 , an A380 , or any 777 . Thanks God, the 747 is still the most appreciated airliner which speaks for itself.

It was a post semi repair pic. Still had to wait for #2 exhaust port to dry for reattachment, which was done about an hour ago.

The first 5 pics are in the middle of repair. I was so eager to try to get her right I didn't take any "right outta the box" pics of the issues, but they were bad! The last 6 pics are the best I could get her...she is better and a one foot to two feet away middle to back of the cabinet candidate!

This thread was a great idea, kudos to the original poster of it! I just got the JC Wings BOAC VC-10 Standard in delivery colors, not a new release, but new to me. I’ll post pics later. How did I miss this one when it was released?! What a gorgeous model! And it fits my collecting criteria of BOAC/BEA/British Airways. Was lucky enough to find a retailer that still had it.

Hmm nice words true, and you meant well all good tho, seeing you are a B707 guy, the B707 was the forefather of the B747
Not saying you don't mean well because you really do, I don't need to thank a god for the B747's existence nor success, but the man Joe Sutter himself and his team that actually made it happen;
These people are he ones I truly thank most, all that with great science & math which got them this amazing result

They were the ones that made this design a reality and the biggest success in aviation history with more than 52 years that have passed the Boeing 747 is still flying and not only B747-8's & B747-400's but some of the classics as well, ya know?
Therefore it's just still amazing considering that some aircraft are older than 45 years

Here's one that showed up at the gate yesterday. Glad I found it at a retailer along with a discount and free shipping! Enjoy:

I think so! Same registration number, same box. I found it from a retailer in California, jetcollector.com. It’s a gorgeous model. Next I’d like a decent BOAC Super VC-10 in the last livery.

Thanks for the comments and likes! I had one of the first CX L1011s released years back that was the 2 piece fuselage/painted belly that I let go and have been missing it. I figured the price and timing was right!

Happy collecting!

Nice contrast of the 1990s Air France livery and the latest incarnation of the livery. The revised livery really adds something to the Eurowhite, I have the Gemini AF A350, beautiful model. The details like the blue sharklets with the Hippocampe and enlarged font improve the look, I’m glad Air France is doing it to all aircraft. Beautiful plane in real life, too. One of my favorite liveries on the A350.

All Air France employees are wearing a Hippocampe pin on their uniforms now, I noticed in the terminal at CDG.

that's a nice model if you have a Tu-144 & B747 could you make a comparence shot of them compared to this Tu-244

It's just size wise I am wondering, also I wish the windows were silver like with most models all in all it does look amazing tho!
