Default Qantas 840 line up and wait.

For some time I've been contemplating on making a runway for my models to be displayed on. Well, after some paint, pencil, ruler and masking tape, i believe i have something that resembles a runway scene. Although its a work in progress, it serves its purpose and what better way to "baptise" it than the Qantas fleet lining up and taking off.

Avé ! My applause for your achievement.
The rubber marks on the tarmac, as well as the places where you can see that a layer of
asphalt has been repaired, make the whole thing very realistic.

Cheers, Deephalo

I love your work OPSMAN. I don't think your in lock down in Northern Territory so the time spent building was worth it. I need a 16L for YSSY please. Do you take commission request?

Hi Steve,

No lockdown up here. It took me basically a weekend to make it. I actually was going to make YSSY 34L, but I would only be able to fit 2 models. I thought about doing my airport YPDN 29, but that too could only fit 2 models. Like I said, its a project in process and will try to add some MAG signs and a windsock. In the meantime i'll think about 16L . Take care down there.

Hi QantasF1,

Yes, you could say we are busy. I've never seen so many 787-9's come through, not to mention the domestic A330-300's and 200's. All this and we do have Bay 2 unserviceable due to a new Aerobridge getting installed. It keeps us on our toes. Take care QantasF1.
