Default GJ Royal Australian Airforce P-8 A47-003

By Gemini Jets

SKU G2RAA971

Boeing P8-Posedon
Royal Australian Air Force
A47-003

The display stand in the photos does not come with this model. It comes with the tripod stand.
I purchased additional blank white stands on Ebay for such occasions. Gear is fixed so I don't
need to buy any more of these. Fixed gear aside, it's a beautiful model. Please don't let my own opinions
change anyone's purchasing decisions. Special thanks to GJ for releasing this RAAF during their 100 years anniversary.

Beautiful model Steve.
I think the level of detail we are used to from Gemini Jets is well reflected in this model.
Congrats !

Cheers, Deephalo

It is sharp, and the level of detail is through the roof. Did you guys see the anti collision lights underside and the torpedo bay doors? Counter measures ports everywhere! Thanks Deephalo

Detailing does look great. Good they didn't take the easy way out by either missing them out or tampo everything.

Hmm P8 Poseidon yea I know those basically a heavily military modified B737-NG 800 series, just strange the PAX versions of the B737-NG's never were delivered with raked wingtips like this one uses, are there any reasons for that?

The reason that civilian 737-800 have winglets as opposed to raked wing tips is how much more parking space the raked wing tips use. Military bases have lots of parking space so it's not an issue.

Loves your photos Aussiejets. It's ashamed to not be able to see all of those belly details easily. Maybe place a mirror below, or put it on the highest shelf.

Great presentation and pictures Aussiejets! It is beautiful model indeed! I know it was some time for the non US Navy operators to be released, but finally here. The P-8 in 1/200 one of the finest models to come from Gemini Jets. From the nose shape to the tail boom to all those pods and antennas, and the fine pointed wingtips, it is one of the most fascinating models in my collection to gaze at. I absolutely adore mine, and I look forward to future releases armed with the AGM-84 Harpoon Missiles.

Imagine a flaps down version, and interactive versions with opened bomb bay doors to reveal ordinance!

Hmm rather have doubts for this hence all the B787's & B777-300 ER's and later gen variants have this as well left alone the B747-8's as well, like the B777-X cabn fold them up, why not do that to the B737-PAX version while using raked winglets, for every issue there is a simple solution it would seem
Also if performance is better plus fuel efficiency I don't see why they are leaving it out, then again the P-8's did come many years later than the B737-NG's, I guess refitting all the B737's with this new wing profile was also too expensive that to which would of been a far more saleable reason.

That it takes up too much space doesn't make sense to me, hence all the others that do use the raked wingtip likewise.

That and also i think there was a mention somewhere that the raked tip is more efficient for the long loitering missions that these planes will do compared to the civi ones with usually shorter segments.

Maybe gemini has this thing against making model planes with "weapons"? shorta like you don't see lego making sets with "weapons" aside from sci fi sets
