For what it’s worth, here are a few -100 models with long noses… including the first Twin Otter ever built. Actually, all of these are among the first ten -100 Twins to roll off the assembly line. They were fitted with longer noses later in life, but the point is that the length of the nose does not define the variant.

The noses are definitely not dependant on the series of twitter.
They can be used on all series of twin (below the 300 - the 400 I am not sure).

The issue in the past was that the Twitter was initially certified to use the CAP floats. On these floats the long nose was not usable.

When the Whip floats were designed for the twin, it made landing much easier and allowed the long nose to be used on floats.

I totally prefer the short nose but that long nose definitely hauls way more then the short.

I would love to see this in the Large tundra tires that First Air used to use. I would also like to get it with the Wheel-ski option.
So many cool northern bush operators that would be cool for Canadians.

I'd start thinking commuter airlines from the NE area of the US as one of the first..

I find this less interesting but it may sell better at the end.

My “long nose” wish list (not necessarily based on what I think would sell):

And if Gemini does a short nose version:

Wasn't the Gemini Jets 1:400 scale BA 747 Wuanla and Nalanji a twin pack as well?

...bought it only because it is the Allegheny, maybe the air frame will grow on me!

I flew on this little bird a couple of times in a corner of the south pacific back in the mid '70s....rugged little plane but it creaked along at about 160knts at fl5000 for a little over an hour...it seemed like it took forever but the view was priceless. (no foto credit avail). I wouldn't mind adding this one to the hangar shelf!

Has anyone who has received their copy noticed a slight flaw of the passenger door outline have a gap? Wondering if mine is a one off I should return or a consistent error in all production I'll just live with?

Otherwise a great model.

It looks like a misprint, hardly noticeable and easily corrected with a grey pencil

Although you shouldn't have to make the fix, it is however; an easy fix with a fine modeling brush and a very very small amount of gray paint that you dab off the brush before applying.

Here are a few close-ups of mine:
