OMG YES, that looks amazing crownvic! lets hope for an AN-225 too haha, can always dream forever right!
But these prototypes are made of resin or wood right?
it also makes me wonder how metal can be shaped for these models so neatly.
From what I know, not many of us has ever seen on how these models are actually made, that too would be something interesting to review or discuss about

In a quick Google search, I identified the following liveries:
- Antonov Design Bureau (blue tail)
- Volga-Dnepr
- Maximus Air Cargo
- Russian Air Force
- Antonov International Cargo (blue and yellow stripes)
- Polet
- Libyan Air Cargo
- Titan Cargo (2 liveries)
- AirFoyle
- Aeroflot
- Transaero
- Russia State Transport
Well, if Gemini releases one a month, it will have 1 year of An-124 releases...

As the first post clearly reads Prototype with changes to come, meaning things like opening cargo doors and what not, such things will most likely be added at a later time once the production models are being prepared, just my guess there.

if they can release an an124.. then its almost guaranteed right that they will release an an225?
thanks for the photos! been waiting a decade for a diecast an124@an225!
Fantastic! Time to make some space in the cabinet.
Looking forward to see the first release. For me is a non interactive perfectly fine.
No need for fragile parts.
It was back in 1988 when a huge earthquake hits Armenian.
Germany helped with heavy equipment and therefore - if I remember right - it was the first time that the AN124 made it appearance in the West for cargo operations.
Several of them flew to STR and because I was at this time student at the university Hohenheim (which is around 4 miles away from the airport) I was waiting 6 hours in light snow fall to see them…
And their livery was like the one we have seen here before, but with a big red star on the vertical fin (as it was obviously operated by the military).

I like the way you think. It would be pricey, but a hotseller.

I do believe that Gemini was just in a holding pattern on the big birds (AN-124, AN-225 and C-5) to gauge how much interest (plenty I would say!) there was from the collectors, and it was only a matter of time that they were going to roll them out to us. The AN-124 and C-5 have been officially announced by Gemini, and I assume the AN-225 will be a Christmas gift to the collectors! Cheers! T7

i also hope the pricing wouldnt be too high.
maybe the an124 could be priced around the same as their a380s
and the an225 no more than the 747LCF. i just hope the an225 will not cost as much as the resin/custom/handmade ones out there!

I slowly begin to question the sanity of the guys over at Gemini Jets looking at those weird moulds they produce.
Who in the world needs a mould for an aircraft with such limited options in terms of liveries and operators?
Doesn't matter - this is gonna sell like hotcakes. Just like the Beluga. People don't tend to follow 737's or A320's on flightradar, but a ton of people track these things. They're unique and exotic and generate a lot of interest.
And I've said it before, but people need to realize that the owners of all the diecast manufacturers make what they want to have first and foremost. So many posts on here "why are they making this, that isn't gonna sell, who's heard of this airline, blah blah blah" - if it's not a corporate order, then it's being made because the owner wants to. We may not be privy to their reasons, but they are under no obligation to justify what they make, except to themselves.
Wait wait wait!? So if I am correctly reading this we get a 1/200 die cast An-124 and C-5 Galaxy at a later date?? If that's the case adding the An-225 would be a dream come true and I am definitely all in for these amazing behemoths. Exciting times if we really get them in 1/200 treatment. Can we expect the same offerings from JC Wings as they happen to manufacture for the Gemini?? And please Gemini make non interactive versions as well. Don't ruin mighty models with eye sore seams, gaps oversized hinges and parts with different color shades...

Agreed! Interactive series models should always be an add-on to existing (non-interactive) versions of a certain type of aircraft.

Absolute. No need here for interactive with fragile parts but so far no sign of interactive version yet.
Will be interesting though to see an interactive AN124. Will be a challenge to make the model able to lower the nose.

Interactive version is a must! As with the 747 series, a proper diorama makes the scene very realistic. I for one am certainly in on a Volga Dnepr interactive release.
this is only half the battle, how then to maintain it if there is no repair - service base?
it's too early to rejoice, and there's nothing in general.
Not to worry yourself comrade, the Ukrainian's know how to operate and maintain the AN-124. Once this war is over and Russia has been defeated and destitute. Antonov will build new ones with Western engines!
do you read diagonally?
I didn’t say that they don’t know how, I said that they haven't these bases at the moment!
what they will rebuild with other engines is not a question, only the machine will not be the same!
and the rest of the machine components will also be redone? )))
