Default First impression of herpas Lufthansa 747-200

Not yet in the shops, but I found the first photo of the model on herpas website (seems to exist only in the German version):

http://www.herpa.de/de/Miniaturmodel...fthansa-571319

As it was to hope, it looks that the the jc wings mould was used - so I am happy to receive mine soon...

Default and the herpa 727

Despite "falsifying" my threads title a little, I´d like to mention my second finding on the herpa website: the future 727 is also aleady to see there:

The future 727 is also already to see there:

http://www.herpa.de/de/Miniaturmodel...fthansa-571326

... probably also jc wings mould, polished.
Fine models - seem to be a m ust have for every friend of Lufthansa!

Looks like jeweled landing lights as well, if Herpa does diecast it's always made by JC Wings with the same JC Wings extra details, never a bad choice in the end

that LH B747-230B looks fantastic tbh.

Little correction on the 727 and the model is perfect.

Wingsmo says "around june 30", Lufthanse web shopsays "around end of july", ams says "somewhere in september" ...

Not as long JCW doesn't have a 707 mould.

looks great!!! the only problem I find is that the engines on this mold are bigger than of inflight 200. Herpa uses the gc wings mold, so the engines are larger and correct. Only problem is when you have two standing side by side it is very noticeable .

That is not THIS model's problem ... yet another ding on the now woefully outdated IF200 747

I´m not sure if I´m getting this. I already got Inflight D-ABYC which is a 747-100.. it´s not a -200 I know.

The one Herpa is going to release is D-ABYD and is in fact a B747-230 and was originally delivered with only three windows on each upper deck side. So the appearance is very similar to a 747-100.

You are correct, it is a B747-130
As seen here at Planespotters, it's entire history can also be seen there.

Default Received a delivery date info

To gratify my impatience, when I will receive this promising model, I wrote herpa this morning, if they can say something, when it will be delivered.
I received an answer now and they said, it will come in November...

Looks like we need the patience 1:200 collectors sometimes need!

Thanks for the info. It will be more or less the same for the B727 as I heard from Wingsmo a couple of days ago.
