Very nice indeed! The 707 looks good in virtually any scale and livery.

Neil.

I, too, have this Western 707. There's been an ongoing debate among collectors about the off-white color. Is it wrong? Is it right? Did this Western 707, N1501W, wear this shade of paint?

Yes, the off-white color is correct, although it may have a little too much yellow in it in the case of that model. That color was used for many years by Western, on other aircraft including the DC-6B and L-188. N1501W was delivered new from Boeing to Western in that paint scheme on June 22, 1968. (Western began to repaint its fleet in the red-on-white "Winnebago" colors in late 1970.)

Now, if only someone will give us a 737-247 in the classic Indian Head livery.

As OWTF said above, the Indian head (can we say that anymore in a cancel culture?) livery was off-white.

There's an overhead shot of LAX T5 that I can't seem to find right now taken in the early 70's that shows a 732 and 722 in IH Livery parked amongst some freshly painted Swizzle Sticks. There's definite contrast between the two liveries with the IH appearing a tad darker

Thanks everyone for the positive comments/likes and information! This is what makes this site great!

The color of this models changes depending on lighting and angle. Sometimes the color looks spot on from pictures I've seen of the 1 to 1 and sometimes looks way off and yellow in certain lighting and at certain angles!

Dylan, I already said it in writing above! Get your mind out of the gutter!
