Exclamation Herpa confirms Aviogenex 722 for 2022!!!

I just received an E-mail from Herpa in which they stated the AGX B727-200 is scheduled for 2022 following two previous undisclosed 722s. I am curious which one will it be...

I also asked for JATs 722 in classic schemes. They answered that there might not be so much interest because of these releases of that one manufacturer whose name shouldn't be mentioned...

So THIS goes out to those who believe a third JAT 727 variant would sell, who just like me are into YU- stuff....or just simply missed getting that Inflight JAT 727 - still wanting a replica of that aircraft.... write to Herpa, and tell them! This is a unique chance - (still would get an NG JAT 727 too, if it appears someday.
Can't help it, I just love them YU-727s!

I wonder what 220 people expect when they look at this thread....without leaving a comment. I mean - the title is self-explaining.

Sometimes people are just curious without any particular interest in contributing. That's in the nature of a human being.

Personally speaking, I couldn't care less about Yugoslavia but if you do and have good news from Herpa... well, more power to you.

I've done my duties contacting Herpa with new suggestions (DC-9 freighters).

I am aware of that, but still I wonder why people watching a thread of a topic they actually are not interested in.

During the summer seasons back in the 80s at Stansted, I used to ramp several Aviogenex and JAT flights per week. The Aviogenex flights used to be operated initially with Tu134s, but after a year or so, they were replaced by the 727s, and later the 737-200. Inex Adria DC9s turned up ocassionally too. Happy days

Neil.

Yes I recall the Aviogenex TU134's and 727's at Manchester in the 80's, I think I would be interested in this model, but I would prefer an Aviogenex TU134 more from anyone.

Do you think there is some sales potential in the UK justifying a third JAT 727 (maybe "Official Olympic Carrier" titles). Herpa thinks that Inflights contribution to that topic could be sufficient for the market - and they might have difficulties in selling any further JAT 727. As it is the GJ/JC mould they're using, plus the Inflight models aren't available anymore. -there shouldn't be any difficulties imho (but what do I know) - as i am a little too biased ....what do you think?

JAT is a well known european flag carrier so any manufacturer should be able to sell a high number of those models. Problem is that Herpa usually has higher production run sizes in comparison to the competition as they have a very dense distributor/retailer network across Europe.

We used to handle this one occasionally. Despite operating for the Yugoslav government, it had a standard interior when operating the JAT flights that we looked after.

Very nice. I’m assuming that as the red stars are missing on the flags, this picture was taken post 1990.

Great release, thanks for sharing this with us. I will definitely buy one, will be my first Herpa B727, but I have YU-ANU, the Aviogenex B737-200 from Inflight200.

I’m just curious why you didn’t offer this last livery with the red belly as a possibility for the Herpa release, this would probably have been my choice.

For other JAT B727s, with all the great memories in this thread, I have to suggest the British Air Ferries/JAT hybrid, but then there’s a model that probably only four other people would buy!

Thanks for those memories folks,
Allan

I am delighted you’ll see an AvioGenex 727 next year. Not my cup of tea, however, I’d prefer another model of the type of aircraft shown at the lower left corner of your second photo.

You could have the same problem as me, requesting the JAT 727.... Inflight did a JAT DC-9 back in the day. Though I also would prefer it on the GJ mould. Good luck my friend! https://www.ricardo.ch/de/a/jat-dc-9...ery_fullscreen
