Default Inflight or JC Wings A350

Hello there,

so far I don't have an A350 in my collection. I'd like to change that. I know there are some threads. But I didn't find a clear answer. Maybe there's none.

I also checked the Herpa mould but I want to stay with diecast.

So I'm a little between the chairs here.

Inflight or JC wings? What do you think?

Cheers

May I deduce from your photos that it must be an Aeroflot, or are you asking about A350 models in general?

It's a general question. But that Aeroflot is on the run as well.

I personally can't comment on the Inflight 200 mould as I haven't got one, however I have a few Gemini/ JC Wings 200 A350's and they are superb. I also have a Herpa 1:200 A350 which is excellent too, and has MUCH more detail than their other 1:200 moulds.

I have the ARD BA A350 (so I guess that counts as inflight) and I am very pleased with it. ukjohna has some excellent photos of it here in his Gemini vs ARD comparison: https://www.diecastaircraftforum.com...-ba-a350s.html

If it was me deciding, I'd first identify the livery I personally want, and then do comparisons between manufacturers to identify who represented it best in my mind. I'd repeat for each livery.

Thanks for your reply. I'd take the ARD(Inflight) A350.

Thanks. Maybe you got some nice images of the Inflight? Nose, engines for example.

I have to say that the PHOENIX one is also quite nice.

Their A350 LATAM looks very nice beside its IF200 sister ship.

Real A350 = Plastic

Herpa A350 = Plastic

I love the Herpa
Just added an Iberia A350-900 £42
BA A350-1000 cost about £60

What price the Gemini/inflight £100+

Normally I would agree but unfortunately my HERPA A350 LUFTHANSA started yellowing 🙁

This is even more frustrating as this model was very special for me as I made a Spottertour in FRA for its first visit just after it was named “Nürnberg“.

And just a few days later I had the chance to visit with my son the toy fair in Nürnberg, which was a unique experience for both of us.

As HERPA is the only manufacturer of this model with its name, you can understand my frustration about this yellowing…

I tend to favor JC's - the nose looks a little more correct on it, and earlier production Inflight's had pretty oversized MLG tires that looked awkward (see below). Newer ones seem to have corrected that though (like the Air Caraibes), so I don't think most people would be unhappy with either one.

Thank you.
I adore exotic liveries. Makes me less think about the job and more about vacation.

That's very concerning to hear since I recently bought a couple of Herpa models (including an A350)

I've had problems with yellowing on a Herpa A319 before but thought this was an issue of the past.

Is the whole plane yellowing or just certain parts?

On my A319 only the tail and engines started yellowing, presumably because Herpa was too cheap to paint them.

Its amazing how many times the comparison of the Gemini BA A350 vs ARD A350 comes up. It seems to be the most talked about 1/200 skewed comparison out there. Gemini has made several other A350's including my favorite the Virgin A350-1000

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"

Sorry to hear that. Something I'm keeping an eye out for on the Herpa LH B737-300 that you sent me. Still very white and hard to believe that it is from the early 1990s! I have not opened up the "hangar box" that it comes in, not sure if that helps prevent the yellowing or not.
