Default How to Get a Missing Antenna?

So, after much searching, I found a retailer who had a GJ 200 BOAC 747-100 for sale after I had sold off my first one on eBay and then deeply regretted it. It’s as gorgeous as the first one, I love the navy blue and gold livery, the gold Speedbird on the tail is so cool. I’ll never part with this one!!!

I looked in the package that has the landing gear covers, the tools to take them out, and the wingtip antennas, and found there was only one wingtip antenna. I suppose I could display it without any wingtip antennas, but it looks like something is missing, so would like another so I can have them on both wings.

I looked on the Gemini website and it says to contact my retailer first about missing parts. Luckily I bought from an authorized retailer so I emailed them and haven’t heard anything back from them in a week’s time. So I emailed Gemini with my information and hope that they have them in supply, I know they have a couple 747-100/200s that are recent releases, so now I’m waiting to hear from Gemini.

Have any of you ever had any luck with getting replacement parts for something missing? I don’t have a problem with buying one, the Gemini website says it’s $10 for small replacement parts.

Sounds like a retailer in California i will no longer deal with.

I haven't received any GJ models with missing parts yet, but i did have to contact the Inflight distributor in US to get a missing main gear on a CV880 i purchased from said CA dealer that couldn't be bothered with it. it was sent to me free of charge.

If you bought it from DiecastJets you may not hear back from them. When I received my G200 Virgin 789 G-VZIG that I ordered from them the front gear was in 3 pieces. I contacted them to get advice on how to repair it & never heard back. I contacted Gemini & I received a response saying they typically have them in stock but because it's a new release, asked me to check back in a month. (I was able to successfully make the repair myself!) I also contacted Gemini regarding an older release B722 that was missing front landing gear (hub & tyre) & obtained a replacement from them.

You could try Inflight. They sent me a pair of 747-100 wingtip antenna.

Would have thought the same fitting?

Every time I've required spare parts (usually gears), I've requested them from Will Ribeiro at GJ (via their website). You can order up to 5 pieces for $10 USD. So usually I order gears, ask for some rubber grommets and antennae or jewels. Then send them in a little baggy and you're good to go!

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"

Yes, I've also reached out to Gemini Jets in the past for extra parts and they've always come through for me every time! Cheers! T7

Gorgeous model. I was lucky to find one a few years ago on Amazon for $120 new. It ain't going anywhere.

Still have the logbook I got as a kid on a BOAC 707-400. Flight crew let me sit in the cockpit for 3 hours or so with headphones on. Good memories.

In addition to the comments on this thread, I've heard many others say they were able to get replacements from Gemini. Good luck and post some pics when she's fixed.

Gemini has always been good re getting parts! JetstreamUSA, not so much since Don faded into the background...e-mailed them twice in the past and no response!

Sorry to hear Don has stepped back. Very nice fellow when I met him and his daughter a few years back at the LAX AI show. I am guessing his daughter has taken the lead at JetstreamUSA? Cheers! T7
