Default Original IMC Models

I don't suppose anyone has any original IMC model lists eg from 80’s /early 90’s (before the changes to CMD PPC and ‘New Wooster’). If anyone has any lists or info I would be interested to hear.
I recently saw an IMC Boeing 767-200 prototype model in their 70’s brown scheme, and keen to know if there are other rarities.
I was also interested to see the original Wooster models and IMC shared some of their moulds including early A320, BAe146 and DC-10.

Didn't even know they ever made any plane. The only IMC model i have is of this excellent AC 700 crane in 1/50 which i recommend everyone should get

I might have some somewhere, I will check it out. I do recall that first 767 design released by IMC, they also had old Airbus house colors of the A300 (1/250) and A310 (1/200). Those came well after the brown 767 promotional scheme, though. What is disliked about IMC (later on PPC and CMD, respectively) was the fact they used decals in opposite to Wooster (and Long Prosper/Flight Miniatures) which used printing. Some liveries were hard to get without any creases at curved parts of the fuselage (the LTU Süd 767-300 is coming to mind)... but, man, that several decades ago.

I’m not sure if this is the same IMC model company or not...I use to collect their models in the 90s they were out of Holland very similar to Wooster back then..their most popular was the 1/250th scale L-1011 Tristar with full ground support equipment.. delta even sold those on board... they made dozens and dozens of different models very similar to flight miniatures today...they were out of Holland...

Yes guys, thats the company! Bizarrely their first models were ink printed like wooster but then they switched to those awful stuck on transfers which often wrinkled, slipped or dried out and split. Of course laterally they again switched back to printing. It is indeed the company from Holland and they made model cars and construction models (like the crane).
The ground equipment models were great for their time. Many airlines chose that inflight item including Delta, Worldways Canada, Dan-Air, Singapore Airlines, Finnair, Cyprus Airways and a great Iberia 747-200.
I think my rarest IMC models are original Britannia 737-200 (black titles) and wheels, BCal Charter DC-10 (transfers) Wardair DC-10, Spantax DC-10, Spantax 737/200 and original first livery Transavia 737-200, Hapag A300 and TEA A300. Any others?

Actually, those sets became very rare since their original customers (kids) used to play around with them and everything got lost or damaged. :-/ I once had the Worldways Canada set (of course, it featured their flagship L-1011) but sold it for quite big money when I decided to discontinue collecting plastic snap-fit models.

The full name of the original company was actually was „IMC HOLLAND“.

There was a KLM A310 from IMC with a full set of ground support equipment. Exclusive for KLM in-flight sales.

Yup, I had that one! I made some modifications and added some details to the model and the GSE. I wish I still had the GSE!

Would be interested in getting to know which models were offered as a set with ground service equipment. I only know about Delta Airlines, Wolrdways Canada, Singapore Airlines, KLM and, maybe, Hapag-Lloyd (not sure about the last one, though). I am probably forgetting one or the other I used to know about but I have never seen kind of a list reflecting all of the sets.

I have these IMC models which I acquired many years ago. All but the original livery Sterling 727, which was given to me by a Sterling captain, came from a shop close to the rail station beneath the terminal at Schiphol. It was called The Drugstore I seem to remember. The ATR is 1/100. The Sterling original colours 727, and the earlier livery Linjeflyg F28 have gear with rubber tyres. I also have the F28 in Air U.K. livery, which also has landing gear.

The drugstore was indeed the name of the shop in the basement of the railway station at Schiphol airport before Schiphol Plaza was created in and around the current railway station.

IMC models as a manufacturer of aircraft models stopped producing in 1992 (then named Consolidated Model Design - CMD). The company was largely formed around its founder Martin Verkuyl.
The produced some nice models. As a teen I used to collect them on board KL, HV or MP whenever I went on a holiday.

I had a Cyprus Airways A310 with ground equipment as a kid. Think I got it from Collectors Aircraft Models, Heathrow. Sold it on ebay a while back as only collect die-cast now. The working scissor lift catering truck was so cool. I agree, the transfer decals did let them down a bit. Saw the Singapore 747-400 on ebay last year and all the decals had yellowing.

Yes those are some either i had at some point OR i have seen on ebay a few times. The Singapore example was a treat back then coz most of the airlines sold IMC Holland models either on stand ONLY (without GSE) OR those 1:600
SCHABAK fleet sets.. They were very good for their time.. some gems.. Also remember having a few of simiilar style airplane with GSE sets in the form of KAWADA building blocks, which were marketed/made by PPC Holland back then.. Still have the SABENA example, which I have NEVER seen on ebay or elsewhere ever.. what memories!!

Thanks for the info, seems they had that blister box made at least for the L-1011, A310, and 747. Still not sure about Hapag-Lloyd, I somehow saved a picture of either an A300 or an A310 with GSE set in my mind... but maybe there was none.

Oh yes, I once had that Linjeflyg Fokker 28 in the last (white) colour scheme, it was 1/100, wasn’t it? I also had an Air UK Fokker 100 (also 1/100). Don’t recall whether those were still IMC or later PPC models, though. And IMC had a great A310 mould in 1/100 scale, I’ll never know why I sold my Hapag-Lloyd A310 model 15 years back...
