Having completed a custom model I thought something did not look quite right with the engine casting. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the engines seem to be to “fat”. Their depth is oversized by about 20%.

Now that you've pointed it out, I can't un-notice it! I was strongly considering a British Airways Express Dash 8-300 model by JC Wings last week, but now feel a bit perplexed. To someone whose primary focus is other aircraft and other airlines, is this a dealbreaker or not so much?

Your custom model is soooooo beautiful as usual! I think you you should have used the Hogan's model to fix the issue. You can see the ones at the post #8 in

I have used used a Hogan in the past, it’s added at the bottom, but as you can see the issue is that Hogan have used an off white as a base colour which is not right. But the engines are more true to scale.

This is the hogan i have and it's pretty white. i think you just need to find the right donor

This was the Hogan donor I used for the Brit Euro and I was expecting it to be white, but it was more like cream.
I’ve also compared GJs Dash 8 and it looks like the same mould used by JCW, even the print on the engine cowling is identical.

yep. no surprise. GJ and JCwings are nearly one of the same company in term of moulds
