Default New arrivals for me - already posted by others

I had a few new arrivals this week. G-CIVY was posted already by reheat101 here and both G-BNWV and G-BMGS here by stevec but I took the opportunity to grab a few shots of my own.

Here is G-CIVY, alone, then along with sister G-CIVF, also a recent arrival.

Then G-BNWV - 767-300 in Lovely Landor, along with a couple of sister ships, including the recent USAir/BA 767-200, the recent G-DOCU Landor 737-400 and a post-landor Wings/Denmark world tail.

Finally - Caledonian 747-200 G-BMGS. I was in two minds about getting this one, as I already had the original Inflight LE version - but decided to get it so that I could compare the two.... As expected, the colors and details are different - but both are great models. Interestingly enough, the newer Inflight is named "Loch Ness" while the older model is "City of Swansea". I believe that the newer model is correct based on pictures I can find, with the "City of Swansea" name being carried when this frame flew for British Airtours in the Landor livery (of which I have a model and picture somewhere).

Anyhow - here are a bunch of shots to compare the two... I switched them around left to right a few times, but the labels indicate which, and in any case, the darker Inflight LE is easy to differentiate.

All in all - I think the old model, handmade my Martin Beacom years ago, holds up pretty well....

Great to see you're models turned up safe and well,

Excellent photo's once again,

Look's like Martin used a British Airways Landor for you're G-BMGS
custom, Acetone doesn't remove the original paint just the tampo print
stuff so that's why I am guessing the colour is different ?

Roll on the next bath of british 747's

reheat101.

Thanks all. Landor is indeed a good looking livery.

@reheat101, I don’t think Martin started with a Landor model as this one predates the IF Landor releases and is both a different (darker) grey and a deeper blue.

@baltman both great models and also part of my collection. Here are the DC-10s from 2016

And the Tristars from 2015

I have never seen a photo of a Landor without the crest on the tail.
Was this an experimental livery, or are they just not finished applying the new livery?

British Airtours (charter division) did not carry the crest, only British Airways (scheduled services) did.

CIVY looks beautiful! Mine is still on pre-order status here in the US, so I'll just keep enjoying your photos until I can hold it for real

Wow, look at all of those gorgeous TriStars! I've been wanting to add a TriStar to my collection for a while now, but the usual suspects (EA, TWA, DL, PSA) are HTF and expensive when they come up for auction. Perhaps I'll grab a Landor TriStar whilst they're still available.

And I still want a regular/corporate livery BA B744. I'd also like to have a One World B744, but far from being a priority.

Great photos!

A long time ago, at a house I no longer own, and in a state I no longer live in.... but it was a beautiful day...so outdoor shots were a must.
