Default Fedex Merchandise Store

If anyone is interested, Fedex's online store still has some models for sale. The Gemini 767 is only $45! I believe the 777 is also Gemini and is about $5 lower than what I could find anywhere else.

I just got both, 777 went down to $67.95. Not sure where you'll ever find a that price for a 777. Shipping was a little rough at $20 for the pair.

I grabbed the 767 and the 777. The shipping was almost as much as my order because apparently Canada is on the moon. Great deal regardless, thanks for posting this @GlobalReach!

Thanks! Do you know what the reg # is? A few years back, people were saying they received N884FD instead of N880FD, which is in the photo, when they ordered. I wonder what reg it is these days?

The description on the the site says 880. The pic shows 880 if you zoom in. So i guess you can ask for refund from fedex claiming false advert? lol... More than likely you will probably get the latest 884 or 886..

883 884 886 are newer. 880 was rel in 2012. 882 was in 2013.

Well, I have no FedEx 777s in my collection right now, so any reg would suffice I guess here I go click that purchase button

Bought my 777 fedex in 2020 for $67. you can't find anything even close to that since so this is a good price. It's a very decent model with the only big neg being no removable gears.

The 767 inventory has been significantly reduced since this morning! It was like 105 or more earlier now it's only 89 or so...

Just checked again and the stock of both has significantly increased to more than this morning. I guess fedex got a ton of both models in their warehouse and now they are refilling en mass?

I'm glad that everyone has gotten a good deal but they have actually had this deal for quite a while now (At least 2 years if not more). They've made...I don't even know how many but it seems probably 3-4 each of 767 & 777 runs.

That isn't to detract from the overall intention of the post and I'm glad people who were previously unaware found a good deal for them. But it has been around for a while.

The 767 at $46 is definitely a very good deal though.... I wish the 777 would come down soon, then i would get another one even though i already have one of the 777.

Is the price for the 767 the usual price or is that $46 only once a while?

I think it's always been that low or at least close to it. I have the original release and have no interest in getting a different version so I haven't followed it closely. However, the deal has been available for quite some time.

Again, I'm not trying to bash the thread. I'm glad a lot of people who were previously unaware are getting some good deals.

Too bad they didn't have a DC-10 or MD-11 in diecast metal for about $75! I will eventually make the purchase on that 767. Definitely a good deal.

99% sure 777 is gemini. The construction of the base is the same as that of the 777F fedex gemini i have. also the DIMA database lists it as gemini and the only other fedex 777 is by jc wings.

And is also delivered by Fedex and not by the ****ty USPS. I have just about enough with USPS. Their 2-3 day priority mail is now 1 wk, so basically slower than fedex and ups ground.
FYI, Fedex and UPS ground has a decent intrastate network so fedex or ups ground with closeby destinations might actually be next day delivery!!!

The models originated in Indy and I'm outside Chicago, so it was pretty quick.

I'll take some photos of each when I get home.

My B777 N884FE has magnetic gears. The old wooden base as well. Was on the fence for the B767, but made the plunge.

Most east coast to east coast shipments get delivered in 2 days via ground on both. Ground has gotten so much faster that it has really eliminated the need for what used to require 2nd Day Air. The difference between UPS & FedEx is that FedEx still operates separately from ground. If you send something 2nd Day Air on UPS that would only take two days on ground then it's still going on a truck. Likewise, UPS doesn't fly short flights during the day. They'll truck that stuff to a hub and then connect it with longer flights if needed. FedEx doesn't do that. They'll still be flying from Knoxville to Memphis even during the day sort so if you send it FedEx 2Day then it is an express package and it's staying within express.

I still have the 1st releases of the 767 & 777.

Both models arrived in excellent condition. Plastic wrapping inside the boxes suggest they've never been open since leaving the factory. Both came in the Fedex Gemini boxes and are copyright with the year 2020. 767 was fixed gear and 777 had magnetic gear and gear doors as well as the new stands with the curved pedestal. Cannot beat the price for 2 models with 2 day shipping.

Hope that whoever else got them are as happy as I am with this purchase.

Thanks for the tips. I went ahead and get another 777 even though i already have the 882 one. It seems like gemini had put magnetic gears into the later ver as the 882 one has fixed gears ;(.... I am all about removable gears....

The price for the 777 shows $74.95 but when you add to the cart and check out, it's $67. so weird. anyway if you want a 777, get it now just in case they raise the price

The price for the 767 is a real bargain for 1/200 at $45. When was the last time you got a new widebody gemini with removable gears for less than $50? i cant remember ever!!!

Thanks so much for the info and the nice pictures!

I was about to order the B777 but shipment prices to have it sent to Palma de Mallorca in Spain is 164USD, so even thought the model is cheap, shipment is crazy so I won’t go for it this time!

USPS priority mail internation is the cheapest i could find for a 12x12x10 3lb package to spain ;(. $60 But it will definitely be a lot slower than fedex or ups given how ****ty usps is nowaday. So that's $145-$150 if one of us buy it and ship to you.... not much of any saving ;(.

Best bet is to find a euro dealer or seller on ebay ..

Then again, $160 for a 1/200 model, esp a widebody with removable gears is actually not that crazy high. I have quite a few 1/200 that are much much more expensive than $160....

Well, nonetheless, the problem is quite obvious. Paying $200 for the model - with $200 of which 80% are for shipping costs - isn’t reasonable at all. That USPS option sounds better, though. Personally, I never had any problem with shipments through USPS to or from Europe. Kiko can purchase a GJ 777 for around $150 incl shipping at a European retailer - but that’s not the FedEx version.

Well, like he said, it was $164, not $200. The model is $67 but the shipping cost is almost $100. If it really cost $150 to get a GJ non Fedex 777 from a euro dealer and if fedex is what you want, the choice is easy: go for it! Yes, not cheap but i don't think you gonna be able to easily find this model at a eu dealer. I did a quick search at the usual eu places and not finding one.

Btw, the saving of using usps is definitely not worth it imo. i don't know when was the last time you used usps to ship anything to/from eu, but i can tell you right now i have 3 packages from eu (including one which is familiar to both of us ) stuck in the same status at usps for the past 10days. Let me repeat that again: it took dhl just 4 days to get the package from germany to US, but after it gets here, it stays in usps for 10days now with ZERO progress. I just put an inquiry in to try to get them to move it along. It's now 4 months from holiday so usps has Zero excuse about holiday surge...

i mailed someone using usps 2-3 days domestic priority mail. it's been 10days and that package has not made any progress also!!! Fedex and ups ground here in US is actually faster than usps 2 day priority!!

Which is the reason now I would said i would have been prepared to pay DOUBLE the rate i paid for euro packages to make sure the packages stay completely within the DHL or UPS network!!!

Kiko, I think you should buy the 777 from fedex. I don't think you will find it easily from a eu dealer. and plus fedex is shipping it to you via fedex network which i think will get to you in very good time.

Ah, I read it as ‚shipping‘ alone was $164...

If the shipping cost is really $160 to spain via fedex, then i guess it's worth using usps $60 service and having one of us in the US sent it to you i guess...... sighhhh.

I so hate usps that i never ever want to use them again anytime soon!!

Thanks to all for your help,

But the problem is that only the shipment costs are 164USD + then the price of the model, at the end that makes it around of 231USD, which I find a little bit high. I also build my own aircraft models so I’ll simply go for a Hasegawa 1/200 B777-200LR and then Nazca decals FedEx B777-200F in the Panda Express livery.

I was really surprised by the shipment costs, because when I buy from the Alaska company store their shipping costs are much cheaper and arrive in Europe in less than a month. As far as I remember I think they use DHL for their European shipments.

Well, I can’t speak neither for DHL shipping not for USPS. But if it is stuck after arrival in the country of destination, it normally is being processed by Customs. I recently got some items from the US thru USPS and DHL - and it was processed some 10 days by the German Customs. May be it’s a matter of simple luck with your recent UPS/ DHL/ FedEx shipment in contrast to USPS... or may be Customs makes it faster with the parcel service companies... I don’t know.

Anyway, it’s a pain in the neck that your package did not make it through US Customs yet. Hope they are going to release it soon. Fingers X.

There is no "luck" needed with FEDEX or UPS or DHL (I am talking about the real DHL express which does not involve USPS at any point) because they consistently stick to their status online. UPS delivered one of my package 1 day late compared to what they post online and they actually volunteer to give me a partial refund without me even asking them....lol.. Think about that again: UPS volunteered to provide me a partial refund for delivery my ground package on day 5 instead of day 4 which they posted on their status page online!! . And that wasn't like a UPS express package or anything like that. It was just a lowly UPS ground! Talk about caring and attention for their customers, even the bottom ones....

Back to the shameful USPS:
As for it being in customs for such a long time, that's just an illusion.... if your package is cleared by customs, but then not scanned by usps after that, then it will just look like it stucked in customs even though it's not. That's one of their shameful tricks to make it look like it's customs fault and not theirs....

What is the fact that support my conclusion about usps?
1. The fact that even their 2-3 days domestic priority mail that has nothing to do with customs is now taking at least 7-10 days. This shows that usps delays has nothing to do with us customs. Its just them.... I know that also because the custom clearance for packages that has nothing at all to do with usps (like dhl, ups, fedex, and speedpak) all get their customs clearance within a day or at most two...
2. The fact that it would only take a few days for the package to get from the foreign country to US, but after it gets to the US it would not move any further.

And the fact that its 4 months from the holiday season so they can't blame holiday surge..

if you want, you can definitely ask one of us US collectors and we would be glad to help out. IT would be $85 ($68+$11 domestic shipping+$6 domestic tax) + $60 USPS shipping to spain. for total of slightly less than $150. Even though I do not recommend USPS, they are still unfortunately the cheapest by far in this case....

Best part about my fedex order: a nice free fedex ground hat!! lol.. an unexpected surprise... wonder if they would have sent me a fedex express hat instead if i would have selected express shipping?

The 767 i ordered is excellent even without the magnetic gears. def worth the $45!

NO, they do not! At least not from what I've experienced. Especially FedEx. Eight times out of 10, I'll receive a status that a package is to be delivered on XX date only to receive another status later in the day stating "pending" with no details whatsoever. UPS is slightly better but I've received damaged packages with them. USPS has always been great here. Example: I had a package shipped to me Priority Mail on Thursday and it was delivered today.

Perhaps it's either the city in which a person lives or a regional thing, but I've not had good experience with FedEx or UPS here in Palm Springs. DHL, yes has been good.
